Wow. Serbia looked like THE team after the first pool and most of the second round of pool play. Their margin was +40 points in those first four wins.

Argentina vs USA in semifinals?
If we win our game tomorrow, yes, we will meet in the next round.
Thought he was Mexican? Oh well, what's the difference.
40 year old schooling the MVP runner up.
Also, lol at bringing Laprovittola over to the NBA, but not Campazzo.
Also also, Garino >>>> Cunningham, Pondexter and all the we've tried at SF the last few years.
Interesting how well the older guys can play when they're allowed to play physical. The new NBA rules have turned the league into a young man's game. None of the old guys in the World Cup could sniff an NBA roster, yet a lot of them are dominating when the rules actually allow them to play. Good for Scola. That's pretty cool.
Maybe we can still sign him.
Massive game by the Argies.
Scola thread indeed.
Laprovittola with a manuesque cano at the end.
What a joy it is to watch good old physical TEAM baskeball at the FIBA world cup.
The FRA-AUS yesterday, ARG-SRB today.
Hmmm... what if Scola would have played for the Spurs... could it have changed the dynamic of their winning & championships? Oh well...
Considering the crap the Spurs had platooning the post next to Duncan, yes, I think another championship would have been won.
better than Kawhi thread tbh...
Serbia? May God help them . . .
cant believe Garino didn't make Spurs roster.. don't we need a SF good at D? he is one.
I've never seen a good defensive Argie SF, tbh.
Too bad Manu couldn't give it a go this time around if this old was able to, tbh.
Not a fan of Nocioni?
Garino has been damn good, tbh. Spurs could have kept him around a little longer instead of signing old s like Cunningham and Pondexter, imho.
Don't remember him being that good on defense. I could be forgetting; but I don't think so.
He was the defacto defensive stopper of Argentina's Golden Generation. Seeing how succesful that team was, he couldn't be that bad. Although defense does comes easier in FIBA.
I don't remember him being a defensive stopper for the Bulls. But I do recall him being a good glue guy; good intangibles.
Indeed!
Scola!!!!
That's a very good point and why the league has lost its appeal.
