Like ElNono said, only bad edgelord posters would care about downvotes. It's more interactive this way, imo.

For example, when timvp does his game grades I usually don't post a reply but always read at least part of them. It'll be cool to at least give him a thank or a like. There's also times when someone posts exactly what I'm thinking so I don't bother to repost the same thing. Or times when you're having a conversation with someone, you read their last post but there's nothing to really say afterwards. This allows you to end the conversation without coming off like a .
