    The problem is that he won't stay as a fact witness, and will undoubtedly offer opinion. Furthermore, his Congressional immunity shields him from criminal prosecution from what he says while carrying out his Congressional duties.

    So he can lie at will without repercussions. Don't think there's a lot of value as a witness on the hearings. He will have some explaining to do if indicted on federal charges though.

    An impeachment hearing isn't a judicial procedure, are Congressmen exempt from subpeona by their own body? Nunes put himself in this business, why shouldn't he -- or couldn't he -- testify?

    Put him under oath and hang it around his neck later if he lies.
