Trump releases this phone call in which he directly asks a foreign leader to find dirt on a political opponent with re-election coming without consulting anyone with a clue who understands the Jovian gravity of this act. “It’s no big deal, we will just release it”. Now the rest of the red team is ting themselves trying to defend it. Well there is zero defense so just might as well say it’s fine. And Trump has a chance at being elected again so it could become a huge power play vastly increasing executive power. They are now banking on the American people not understanding this,and or, it does not matter we want Trump elected again.
This is the gambit they have made.
It gets worse if it is tied to monetary aide, and if others, with no business in this situation, going down as well. It can only get worse.
