The electronic devices were seized by DOJ at the time of arrest. That's about 2 months.
Pure surmise on my part, but I doubt the SDNY gives the defendant permission to do a TV interview, or gives the corroborating evidence to the House, if it had confidence Bob Barr would allow it all to come out at trial.
