    Yeah.

She would be better off pointing out how evangelicals have been selling out the country.

    Few thoughts

    A) Her comments are correct

    B) Illustrates why Democrats relationship with Muslims makes very little logical sense beyond there being few Muslims in America thus Dems "muh minority"

    C) This will end up fracturing Dems but I agree and respect her stance. She just had an aggressive way of expressing it and of course she's Muslim so bias on the issue.

Israel has exhausted its anti-Semitic card.

It's true that anti-Semitic people are (likely) to be anti-Israel, but being anti-Israel in itself isn't anti-Semitic

    there is anti-semitic and anti-zionist

the first is in itself racist and wrong. the 2nd is like saying anti-nazist. not racist, not wrong. Zionism is similar to nazism in that each beleives their race is superior and must win vs other races

AIPAC-financed political s always conflate Israel politics with Jews

    Omar's comment was anti-Israel/Bibi, not anti-Jewish.

Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) defended Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) on Wednesday amid an avalanche of criticism she’s received over comments about Israel that some have slammed as anti-Semitic.

Sanders, who is running for president in 2020 and in 2016 became the first Jewish politician to win a state's presidential primary, said he fears a House resolution intended to rebuke Omar over the comments could end up stifling legitimate debate over the Israeli government’s policies.

“Anti-Semitism is a hateful and dangerous ideology which must be vigorously opposed in the United States and around the world. We must not, however, equate anti-Semitism with legitimate criticism of the right-wing, Netanyahu government in Israel. Rather, we must develop an even-handed Middle East policy which brings Israelis and Palestinians together for a lasting peace,” he said in a statement to The Hill.

“What I fear is going on in the House now is an effort to target Congresswoman Omar as a way of stifling that debate," he continued. “That's wrong.”

I'm Jewish, and I Find the Hypocrisy of Republican Islamophobes Hounding Ilhan Omar Breathtaking
It is no surprise that the first elected officials defending Palestinian human rights are facing such fierce opposition from defenders of the status quo
    by
    Rebecca Vilkomerson

Representative Ilhan Omar is facing censure in the House, brought in part by her own party leaders. She is also facing shockingly Islamophobic attacks calling her a terrorist, simply because she is a Muslim. And all the while, other congressional leaders are tweeting out unabashedly anti-Semitic messages with abandon.

The hypocrisy is breathtaking enough at its own right, but it is also an indicator of the fight between an emerging progressive coalition that seems different than Congressional generations of old, and which increasingly integrates Palestinian rights into its agenda, based on universal rights and the need for equality and freedom for all people.

Representative Ilhan Omar is also part of a class of newly elected Congresspeople who don’t look much like Congresspeople of generations past: dynamic women of color from communities (Black and Muslim in Ilhan Omar’s case,) who face some of the fiercest racism and xenophobia in this country.

Likud taking on Kahanists for cynical parliamentary reasons isn't a good look, but in principle it could work. I hope hard Israel is better than that.

The Jews had to know this day was coming. Their diversity/equality brainwashing would result in a non-White American public with no connection to Israel/WW2.

What could the growing Mexican population in the USA possibly know or care bout the Middle East. alot of Mexicans I know are very sympathetic towards Germany/Germans.

The all for the Benjamins comment was tone deaf and plays into stereotypes, but her characterization of a national interest lobby seeking to influence policy by spending money and speaking well or ill of US candidates for national office is uncontroversially true.

Remember we're taking about a US rep who has used the #bdsksa hashtag too.

Apparently the Dems couldn't brave the backlash from American Jews and Congressional staffers.

Btw, when is the GOP going to start policing the antisemitism on their side?
