...not a bad idea...but its difficult to put in g league a player with that kind of contract.
I like the kid but how do you trot a guy on the court with no jump shot. You only have to guard the rim with him not the person. If anyone needs to go to g league it's him to get a jump shot. He's like half a player.

Ok, he’s a little out of control, but he’s the reason the Spurs came back and made several games compe ive when they should have been blowouts. G League is a little extreme for one of the better, more potential filled players.
Probably Murray and White should swap roles for a more balanced approach. With Lyle's, White and Forbes there are 3 competent catch and shoot 3 pt shooters with LMA and DDR dominating the ball. Murray then can try to attack the rim with the second unit with Poeltl, Gay, Carroll and Mills with another 3 competent shooters for him to kick out.
the guy is KILLING US. Especially since we’ve lost 4 out of the last 5, he’s been exposed.
He just clearly does not want anything to do with shooting the ball.
That has to change or this team never gets markedly better.
Idk about the G League but I hate to agree that he's stinking up the joint but he is. Him, Forbes, White, an Lyles are my rays of sunshine. Yes Lyles, he's not the best player but for the money an what's expected... But the effort an passion Murray plays with is great. It seems Murray an Forbes are the only 2 who comes with heart every game.
I'll let Murray continue to learn on the fly.. this team isn't gonna do anyway. They should send LMA and DeRozan to the G-League and call up Samanic and Johnson.. how much worse could it be?
Murray needs to get a grip on himself..he plays out of control the whole game, too many turnovers and when he does shoot, it's forced..we need a steady true PG to keep games under control, even if it's in the backup role.
Murray is Manu without a three.
The Gleague is an exageration, but Murray is in some kind of funk atm.

Well the fact white is playing 22 minutes is crazy.
reminds me of the feedback on Parker when he was named the starter, tbh. People were saying we should go back to Terry Porter/Antonio Daniels

Yeah, that was my a priori take before the season. I just think he fits way better. Murray flashes such high potential that he's made PATFO look like geniuses for starting him. It was a big risk, because now, starting White would be seen as a demotion, whereas had they started off with DJM on the bench, it could have been seen as part of his load management.
That said, the solution shouldn't be to bench Murray now. The upside is high enough to keep trying for quite some time yet, and the transition stuff is still mostly good. Pop really needs to get some plays in there to take advantage of the guys he has out there rather than running the same offense as last year but with worse spacing. This was always gonna be an issue with Pop being part of the USANT this past summer. He really needed a full off-season to work on how to integrate this roster. It was gonna take a really creative scheme to make it work, and right now they're running the opposite of that. There's hope that as the season goes on they can figure it out. But given how hard practice is to come by during the season, it's not something to feel too much confidence in happening.
