    Lost in the shuffle,

Braves unwilling to overpay for Donaldson's 3rd and 4th year. Braves willing to take a 2020 dip in performance for the future. Braves always the long game, don't like to overpay for veterans. We will see how this young core we have been reading and hearing all about performes. Right now Riley/Camargo at 3rd base.

I can't think of a worse closer to have in the playoffs than Ozuna tbh.

    Nevermind, wrong Ozuna.

Verdugo and a pitching prospect is just a pitiful return for Betts. The Red Sox basically just salary-dumped their best homegrown player since Clemens. Henry got his rings, now he's going to turn that franchise into the Marlins of the AL. Hope Sox fans are prepared for years of suckitude with a cheap owner.

That being said, would anyone be shocked if the Dodgers still choke in the playoffs?

Hopefully the Dodgers can make up for being cheated out of at least one ring, but yeah they’ll probably still choke

Sox owner knows what happened with Cora there. They may have to vacate their championship. Nuclear Winter upcoming for the Sox tbh

There's no real excuse now for Los Doyers. But that doesn't always = success though.

Rose wants reinstatement again in wake of the Astros scandal.. Yeah I get it. I think his constant lying for years is what killed his chances years ago..

Losing Betts sucks but maybe he can come back after he plays the one year and we can offer him money. He most definitely need to get pay so I dont blame him at all.

I think we got the best out of Price in 2018 so good luck Dodgers with this guy?

So they won't take Astro's championship but will the Red Sox? That makes no type of sense.

Betts a player we definitely need, a low strikeout, high contact kind of player. Every year, what kills the Dodgers in the playoffs are strikeouts and run manufacturing. The only caveat with Betts is if he'll be motivated enough, since it's likely a one year rental before he becomes an FA. But hopefully the big payday he's bound to get from a great season will motivate him.

Haven't been on ST for awhile, so I missed the Kobe incident. Sad.

My midnightpulp them Doyers inquiring about Mookie. If ya’ll land this dude ya’ll gonna ring next year.

Red Sox looks resigned for long term rebuilding.
Good pick up. The player we needed. You won't be disappointed with Verdugo if he stays healthy. Great plate approach, low strikeouts, and is a guy who has .330 average potential, easily.

Are they even going to have the baseball season tbh? 162 games is a ton more than the NBA, NHL or (especially) football.

Yes. MLB is perfect for this situation. Just cut a portion of schedule off and no one feels cheated.

Just cut off the first third of the regular season? But that will mess up all the matchup requirements and teams will play odd amounts against rivals etc.
