Seriously! lol I mean Lyles has contributed better then I thought he would but having Marcus Morris would have given the team so much more scoring and versatility. Are starting Lineup would actually make sense with Murray/Forbes/Demar/Morris/LA

Don’t think he would have made that much of a difference. This is a team that had overachieved crashing back down to earth.

By no means would he solve everything, but he certainly made things much, much worse.

i said it that losing him was the defining moment of the offseason. Not only we lost him AND davis, but he fills a postal need, his fills a shooting need, and he fills a toughness need

When it came to the off-season I was happy with what the Spurs did on their budget (I wanted bolder trades, but knowing that was unlikely, I was reasonably happy). However, it turns out it was going to be no where near enough. Carroll isn’t playing so really it would have just been adding Morris to this team and hes not so good it changes things

we’d be a 0.500 team with him. At least now we’re heading closer to a full rebuild.

I view it as a blessing in disguise. We need to hit reset on the roster with Lonnie, Derrick, Dejounte, Metu, Keldon, Luka as the future. And also hit reset with a new head coach.

The Morris effect just expedited things, which is great. Only bad thing is that this years’ draft class is weaker than the previous one. Would’ve been best to have tanked LAST season when DJ, Lonnie, and Derrick were hurt
