I would rather not have an EC, but dem dem breaks.
you think perez and sanders saw eye to eye and were in lock step? no. it was a compromise

It’s funny how the Donna Brazile n!gger establishment in the Democratic Party is the group that fervently defends superdelegates the most since it gives a disproportionate amount of delegates to minority politicians. while they’re complaining about whitey making their lives so difficult they’re trying to disenfranchise white voters.
So what was Sanders proposal?
Did he agree to a compromise and now to back out of the compromise he agreed to because it doesn’t suit his purpose?
Will Harding can’t seem to be able to answer these questions, maybe you can.
You only asked this question after refusing to answer my question (that you still won’t answer )
Catering too much to the black vote is a disaster when so much of it is in unwinnable southern states. A state like South Carolina that Democrats have no hope of winning in the general shouldn't even count as long as there is an electoral college making Democrats' presidential votes there completely worthless.
What was your question again? I’ll try to answer if I feel I have an answer. I thought it was related to Sander’s actually preference for rules as opposed to the compromise on super delegates which I have no clue as to what it was and haven’t been able to find a source for anywhere.
The question was are you actually trying to argue that Sanders had the power to completely remove super delegates from the process but instead elected not to?
No he didn’t. I doubt anybody got exactly what they wanted. That’s what compromise means.
Democracy is built on compromise. Bernie and the bros have a hard time with the concept of compromise. It’s all my way or I’m taking my ball and going home. Seems for Bernie the compromise only holds if it works to his advantage.
Your turn.
So we agree then that Bernie didn’t get what he wanted regarding the super delegates which is what I’ve been saying.
Black people have proven that they’re an unreliable ty electorate....I’d love for the Democrats to go back to pre LBJ days where they catered to poor working class white people.
If the Republicans had superdelegates they might have been able to stop Trump.
Still not answering my questions.
Trump is the guy the people wanted. Party elites shouldn’t be able to change that.
As it turns out, the Republican Party letting the people nominate candidates on their own worked out pretty well in 2016.
worked out pretty well for the economy-rigging, tax-scamming oligarchy and their Repug s,
but for the majority of Americans and for America itself,
Trash's Reign of Flood has not "worked out pretty well"
Umm I don’t know about that. Maybe short term.
But even then they got someone that is ruling them by sheer fear. When Trump is done either later this year or in 4 years, I doubt Trump's base will be loyal to just any republican.
The candidate should represent a majority of the party’s view. Bernie is getting by with a minority because the majority view is splintered among multiple candidates. Hence he’s all in on winning the candidacy with a minority of delegates support inspire of what he agree to. Everything Warren said about him was 100% accurate.
Look at the head to head polls, he’s beating all of the other candidates. With the exception of Biden it’s by a wide margin.
Is he going to win a majority or even close to 50% of the primary votes? Is his socialist platform going to win support of close to 50%? Does his views represent the majority of Democrats?
No one is going to win a majority of the primary votes, Bernie shouldn’t be held to a higher standard with made up rules just because you don’t like him.
So Bernie gets 21%, Buttigieg 20%, Biden 20%, Bloomberg 20%, and flotsam and jetsam the rest. Bernie wins huh. I’m sure if Bernie had a minority and super delegates favored him you’d be all in on super delegates. After all you’re all in on black voters disenfranchisement since they’re not serving your cause.
Yeah, and you can say he co-opted the party too. It's extremely dubious he would've supported another GOP candidate if he was not the nominee.
Then again, it worked out for the better in that case, since the GOP had a popularity problem, and was running into the same sort of purity tests that brought the whole party down.
I’ve already said (maybe in another thread) that if Bernie wins by a weak plurality by < 5% then superdelegates should be able to vote for whoever their preference is and he has no room to complain. I’m talking about a scenario where Bernie wins by a plurality of over 10+% and superdelegates go overwhelmingly for someone else.
Im also simply for black people getting the same vote I get, but I’m not for superdelegates like Donna Brazile who disproportionately represent black people. The fact black superdelegates overtly complain about how the 2018 rule changes make it so they can’t have disproportionate influence over elections anymore proves my point about their intent to silence white people.
Are you black? You seem to have that unjustified sense of en lement.
win with a "minority of delegates" what??,
DNC/Clinton/Obama are pushing hard for a brokered convention where Bernie arrives as the leader in delegates but w/o enough.
which allows the anti-democratic, corrupt superdelegates to wipe out Bernie and his MAJORITY of primary voters.
Apparently this was a thing. Happening now.
For those saying Bernie would eat Biden alive on a 1 on 1, I have news. Not happening.
Biden infected Bernie with dementia. Bernie went on a rant about ebola after Biden broight it up once. Sad days..
