Are the Spurs tanking or is the roster actually better than its record?

Is Pop, intentionally or not, sabotaging the roster's ceiling, or did the team just want to win their mid-season tournament?

97 is the lowest Clippers final score of the season. I thought the Spurs was defensively challenged? I still do think that, tbh.

    Pop whispering to Kawhi

Was it just me, or did it look like Autist wanted to get away from Pop? Pop was all smiles, but not Nephew.
That didn't look like a meeting of old friends.

Spurs only have pride when they play Nephew I guess
    Honestly, that’s how it feels.

Why can’t they do this every night?
Because they can't always face an opponent who is coming in having played three road games on four nights, that's why.

ok, I’m not the only one. I’ve been rooting for the Clippers to take over LA since I became an NBA fan in 95. But, much like the Lakers, they’re drawn toward some really hatable players
Just like you I have been following the NBA since the 90's. I didn't start disliking the Clippers until the Lob City era. Chris Paul made them annoying with his constant crying and whining which became contagious for the whole entire team. Also I can't stand Doc.

Fun Guy could have been pissed or elated, difficult to tell. Pop sort of had him in a headlock so that might have been part of the uncomfortableness.

This game shows how we can play as a team if we try hard. We may not win em all, but we can win our share. Grreat game with great entertainment value.

The first time this season they've held an opponent under 100.

Oh man, lob city pissed me off so much!!!! It wasn’t real basketball! An hesis of fundamentals!!! Thanks for the reminder. So aside from from “LoB cItY”, I rooted for the Clippers

I have followed the NBA a lot longer. For most of their history the Clips have just been pathetic, and media coverage was virtually nil. It was easy to forget they even existed until Doc took over. So, in my book they went from invisible to hated and that’s where my needle stuck.

So, what did we do right and was it really about a tired Clipper team that could not hit its shots?
Tired Clipper team? LM is more well rested than anyone in the league...and it's not even close.

of course this team is better than it's record. It's all about the right rotations and minute distribution. Pop seems to finally get there although I'd still want Lonnie playing for Belinelli and Forbes shouldn't start

Kawhi wasn't what hurt the Clippers tonight (19/7/7 is pretty decent on the road), it was the rest of the Clippers that was bad. Paul George and Lou Williams scored a combined 12 points.
