It's not a question of if but when Walker gets heavy minutes. The Spurs are middling around and if it continues through this next quarter of the season, coach will start preparing for what he has next season. Walker will be playing those February-to-April months. That's not even assuming the vets are gone at the trade deadline.
The only way Walker doesn't play is if the Spurs turn it around and are in contention for the postseason. And if that happens we've got postseason play to look forward to.
I still remember how pissed Pop looked when everybody was happy for Lonnie during the Minny game. It was clear that Pop wouldn't play his ass for another 20 games after being ing embarrassed like that.

Any other coach in the league regardless if the team is lottery bound or a contender would be giving Lonnie minutes over somebody as trash as Beli. , he'd get minutes over a loser like Bryn too with any other coach that wasn't a senile .
