Various reasons for it, but as an Angels fan I was actually way more stoked for the Vladimir Guerrero signing than I was the Mike Trout resigning.

Managment f*cked up by giving the house to Butt Holes. And before that it f*cked up by giving what was then a giant contract to Gary Matthews.
It's been a decade of ridiculous mediocrity. Even when we weren't so good at points in the 80's and 90's it didn't feel as hopeless; and in fact, fans look back fondly at those teams. But signing fat turds to lottery sums of money and relying on pitchers with 85 MPH fastballs is just not acceptable.
Shohei Ohtani threw the fastest pitch by a starter (100.6 mph) and recorded the hardest hit ball of the season (115.2 mph exit velo) both in the first inning of Sunday night’s game. He hit a 451-foot homer on the first pitch he saw, although Ohtani’s night ended unfortunately and without a win during a strikeout that somehow resulted in two runs scoring (and him nearly getting injured during a play at the plate).

I haven't been a big purveyor of their stuff. But everything I've seen thus far has been top shelf.
