It's a terribly run organization. Even the Angels support staff are miserable. I know something about all that.
Angles below .500 and battling Texas for last in the AL West.

"A couple of people that I have talked to who usually know what's going on have said Freddie's people have made it known they are thinking a Rendon type deal(7/245m), while the Braves were thinking a little more than Goldschmidt.. They both think the Angels are a major threat to the Braves if he reaches free agency.."
Ohtani 5 complete innings.
1 hit shutout.
6th inning Ohtani is wild, walks 1st two.
Rodriguez puts out the fire, ends inning.
7th relief blows yet another Oh win.
So when the Angels do get a beauty pitching performance, they better protect it, right?
Ohtanis 1-0 lead out in the 7th. Now down 3-1.
8th inning offense we get a break as a leadoff single then a hit batter.
2 on nobody out.
Got to advance those runners, right? Old School Madoon will get er done right?
Brings in Phil Gosselin. Boom double play, rally over.
Ya check the history on Gosselin, who btw was just called up yesterday from the minors.
Not blaming the game on Gosselin, just saying why in the f would you put him in a situation like that? And triple that in the fact that he's been in the minors for the last.....basically forever in MLB terms. I love a comeback story just saying why at that critical point of the game?
^^
Angels will lose way more pitching duels than they'll win.
The offense shouldn't have had him clinging to a 1-0 lead.
Six runs or more should be the objective on any given night.
^ and so it should.
Nonethess, Rodriguez had just pitched the Angels out of a disaster situation with an inning ending double play, preserving the Ohtani shutout.
So Madoons Musical Chairs reliever bull continues and he brings in another to start the 7th.
Midnight pulp traced this all the way back to his Cubs days when he had super stacked teams but could only get 1 Championship out of it.
Update: Rodriguez got hurt. Nonetheless Madoonovich said he would have pulled him at the same time.
Next, what the is the purpose of bringing in Gosselin at a key juncture? .199 hitter over the past 4 years or so.
To boot, Numb Nutts had Gosselin recalled from AAA the day before.
He's at Pop level, seriously.

Definitely not the guru they try to claim he is, imo.
He's got to be on something like a lot of these MLB'ers.
Angels have some awesome individual talent with Trout, Walsh, Shoetani, etc.
But still a five game losing streak in progress and they're in last place now.
Angels +125 at home against the Dodgers.
Worth a go, IMO.
they thought they were getting a dynasty when they signed Pujols ten years ago.
I think they thought they were getting a guy who would stay committed to his steroid regimen, Bonds style.
The problem is that he didn't have a next big contract to work for, so he didn't feel any need to take the risk.
And how many WS rings did Bonds win? the Giants didn't start winning rings until they went away from Bonds and focused intensively on pitching.
The money was just as good as ever when Bonds was there.
Would've been for the Angels too if the dude was juicing and going for 900 homeruns.
How do the Angels finish last just about every time
By sucking.
