The guy has had two meniscus surgeries (same knee) already. His first meniscus surgery literally allowed us to draft him so low. No cliff jumping, just real concern by fans on a fan message board, tbh.
    Looks like a knee. Probably a season-ender.

Lonnie jumps so hard it’s reasonable to be worried about his knees on the jump AND the landing

Sounds like good news so far. Although I won't be relieved until I see him back out there. Rewatching his minutes, he was gimpy for a while and then it seemed to tighten up on him right before he asked out. Hopefully it's just a contusion -- that'd be best case scenario.

Those who are scoffing at the concern shown for Walker obviously don't know that his first two meniscus tears were in noncontact situations as well. , his meniscus tear last preseason happened while he did a simple right to left dribble:

There's a very good chance that it ends up being a psychological thing he has to deal with. Even if he doesn't get hurt, he might start to hesitate when it comes to some of his moves out of concern that he'll re-aggravate his injuries. One of Walker's best assets is that he can jump so well it opens up unorthodox shot angles. If he loses the confidence to make those leaps, he won't have the same ceiling as an offensive player.

You guys are so ill Informed and cultish its like shooting fish in a Barrel because all I have to do is provide Facts from history to refute your dumbness.

Yeah Go ahead and Trust THIS medical Staff.

I could even post Danny Green talking about how the Medical Staff misdiagnosed his Groin injury as "soreness" the WHOLE YEAR.

Now I'll wait for your cult programming response about Toughness or how this didn't happen.

    Fish in a Barrel
Lol at the attempt to validate your prediction. So it's the medical staff's fault that any player gets injured? They have made mistakes, certainly with DG's injury and to an extent with the Kawhi situation (even though they were right in the end...). What does that have to do with you jumping the gun on a meniscus rear the moment Lonnie had a misstep acting like it was a sure thing? Even in those tweets you quote, they list out Lonnie with an undisclosed knee injury and then state the extent of the injury; what's the issue with that? Not like they tried playing him through the tear... But go off, my man

Agree with everything you said but it shouldn't be too worrisome. I would much rather have a player rely on his skills over his athleticism any day or else you just get a Russel Westbrook. Lonnie has so much potential in buttery jump shot and his dribble pull ups. The most important thing in today's NBA is getting a knock down jumper which I think Lonnie has and can grow more into.

He jumps too high. Pop doesn't like black players who jump high. He likes unathletic white guys who can't defend

I wouldn’t be mad at all if he left the team. It’s mind boggling this kid can’t get a ing MINUTE of run.
