Meh, I'll take a better shot at landing a Jaren Jackson, Trae Young, SGA, etc. over getting our pushed in by the Lakers for 4 games.

Not sure why the Sniffers want a meaningless playoff streak...they only show that graphic the once/twice a year the Spurs are on national TV
So you think patfo sucks at drafting but at the same time wants to tank instead of try to win so we get to use patfos drafting skills?

The Nets closed to within 1 point with 50 seconds left in the 3rd quarter, and about 3 minutes later the Lakers were up by 14. About 3 minutes after that it was a 23 point lead for the Lakers. I hope that playoff record is satisfying, because meeting them in the first round isn't going to be fun... unless you're a Lakers fan.

For those who are so insanely terrified of losing to the Fakers, there is a simple solution. Just become a Fakers fan. Problem solved.

You'd be happier as a Fakers fan. They're all pagans out there in Cali. You could make a comeback.

When did I say they suck at drafting? I've said drafting is pretty much the only thing they've done right in the last 6-8 years

They've been pretty good in the bottom half of the 1st round. I think it'd benefit them greatly to pick in the lottery instead of getting swept in 4 games but that's just me.

So, if the Spurs get the 8th seed I fully expect Pop to go with Forbes, Beli and Mills against lineups that feature Lebron, Davis, and Howard. Pop loves to play small in more ways that one.

Thunder will leave a playoff spot free if they trade Chris Paul. They say they don't want to do it but will they reject a good offer? CP3's contrat is long and expensive and they have Shai Gilgeous Alexander...

In the other hand, I don't see Portland forgetting about playoffs but just the opposite. I like Phoenix team, Memphis has found iden y and JaMorant and the Pelicans are finally healthy. Some of these teams have a tough schedule or they'll find adversity in form of injuries but they're 4 serious contenders for the playoff spot.

I wish OKC trades and tanks so the playoff fight has two winners.

Dallas has overachieved with Luka playing above 2nd year expectations. I'd love to see the Spurs climb up to that sixth spot, but I suppose 8 is fine too. Getting past the first round is going to be tough no matter what the seed looks like. Just for the record-books, though, I'd like to see them end the year with a winning record and a playoff spot.

The winning record honestly seems like a reasonable goal and one I also would like them to reach. There's 39 games left and they need to go 22-17.

They beat a lot of good teams and if they can fix those 4th quarters collapses, the second part of the season should be much better. then after that... you never know...

You know, that's a damn good point. I was in favor of going for one of the top 7-8 draft picks this year, and clearing some of the dead wood off the roster (Mills and Beli). But PATFO didn't really commit one way or the other. If it really is a choice between finishing 8 or 9 in the West, then 8 probably is better. But it's a choice between two really options.

Facing the Lakers will only last a few days. Looking forward to the draft lottery and real draft will be better with a higher lottery pick.

If they don't embrace it, they difference is probably two draft slots at most. Yeah, two slots higher could be the difference, but it's not what a lot of us have been hoping for. If it's a question of either 8th or 9th in the West, I really don't give a .

To put in perspective if spurs would've been 1 slot higher would they have taken Goga? Mospur said something along those lines so thats the difference 1 spot makes. Would goga be doing more than luka?

Left? In the season? I believe it's still an 82 game season, last time I checked.

Home games, you mean? 17 now, I believe.

20 road games. The RRT is 8 games, and begins on Feb 3 against the Clippers.
