Where was that defense? Nunn and Dragic killed the Spurs.
That's why I have to doubt your basketball IQ when Dragic was going off Murray was no where near him and as far as Nunn goes yes he scored on Murray but how many times did Murray have to sag off his man because he was trying to help Forbes? I get it trolling is your thing but this is ridiculous.

If his 3pt % goes down to 30’s no way Pop could justify starting this too short, unathletic, no defense, stats padder. No way

There's no way to justify it now. But Pop does it anyway.

I turned on the game tonight and saw Forbes in the starting line up. I thought to myself, I’m not watching this , and just changed the channel.

Maybe some other game, but wasn’t in the mood tonight.

I come here later and read the same sad about Forbes play, and Walker only getting 8 minutes. Pop is just sucking all the fun out of being a fan.

His last day can’t come soon enough.

Sure cherry pick field goal percentage. How about official double digit scoring game for Dejounte. we can do 5 point game and he still didn’t make the cut today

    but but he shot 2/4 that’s 50%

Spurs play 3 of the ~20 worst defenders in the league with at least one on the court for 48/48 minutes.

    " What about Dejounte "

Having a complete non-factor on offense is bad for the defense. I don't get why people don't understand that. It's easy to play basketball when all you have to do is play one side of the ball bc Dejounte doesn't even need to be guarded. Playing defense gets opposing players tired. Chasing Tony Parker around got other point guards exhausted by the 4th quarter. Sitting back and doing nothing on defense bc you know your opponent can't do isn't tiring at all. Dejounte needs to learn how to play offense to help our overall defense.

DJ has a long way to go on offense but you are also exaggerating your description of him. He isn't a complete non-factor. He's a threat to drive and his midrange has been money as of late. He makes the occasional three too. He's only averaging 1 ppg less than Forms (which is supposed to be Brent's strength) and he doesn't need to be a high volume, low efficiency chucker like that piece of to get his points.

Is DJ flawed? Absolutely. But he at least has an NBA body, NBA level athleticism, is already a great defender, and is continuing to make strides on offense. You can live with his growing pains. I can't live with the growing pains of an average joe, little engine that could that was never any good to begin with and will never get any better because of his physical limitations.

Forbes sucks. I only defend him to troll. But I’m not exaggerating at all about Dejounte. He can’t even average 1 made 3 a game and defenders sag off of him. His midrange game is “money” but he’s only taking like 4 midrange shots a game and making 2. He can drive though, except he really can’t. He dribbles too high and can’t do against real defense. What does he average like 2 made baskets in the paint a game (if that)? The dude can’t make a wrap around pass to save his life. He can’t do anything more than a basic pass once he does drive and has zero rapport with any of our bigs.

Real progress is if he shoots minimum 4 threes a game and doubles the amount of shots in the paint as well. As a side note, Murray’s lack of offensive game is a reason why Pop feels like he has to play Forbes

This loser would be a Spur for life if Pop had his way.

Really hoping the old retires right after the season and they can move on from Bryn. But knowing the old man, his last you to the organization is giving that piece of a new 4yr contract.

I've said it many times but if you're an actual Spurs fan, you should be hoping Bryn blows out his achilles. It's come to that tbh.

What a depressing team. Not even a single young prospect to provide hope(and even if they had one, Pop wouldn't play him as much as he should), while not even being a .500 team
Walker provides hope. I'm not sold on s om, but with his physical tools and raw skillset, it's at least conceivable.

Any non senile coach would have started him over Forbes long ago.

The fact that two fringe rotation players start for this team, is embarrassing.

Forbes is averaging more minutes per game than Manu did in any of his last 7 years with the Spurs, and more than at least 3 of the seasons Danny Green played on the Spurs.

He's really one of the most important role players in Spurs history, judging by the amount of minutes he's been given by popovich.

“Sometimes people take advantage of him because of his size,” Popovich said. “He can’t change that. But nobody works harder.”

I genuinely hate Forbes, as a player and as a person. The only piece of more harmful to the team is the senile that plays him.
