Are we gonna rehash what Rand Paul brought up in Congress today? Fauci was pretty clear, Rand doesn't know what he's talking about and lying to boot.
It's just unfortunate that Rand Paul has always come across as a hack. I guess you reap what you sow, tbh...
29:50 ish
I have to give hater credit on this thread. The le is totally accurate.
The sad thing is, this could've been contained.
But, international travel.
Oh well.
what about it, Darrin? I watched at 29:50ish... do tell.
Why stick up for these people?
Are supposed "dunks" on Rand more important than the truth?
Stick up for what people? I have no idea what are you talking about.
What's the 'truth' Darrin? You keep dancing around it. Do tell.
Dunks on Rand are entertaining because he's been trying to drag Fauci into conspira theories and got dunked on every time.
Ok then. Have a nice evening.
What are those conspiracy theories?
I think it leaked from that lab. Not on purpose.
But, why have this kind of lab in a city bigger than NYC?
Yup. Because international travel exists, there is nothing any countries could do differently from one another to have different outcomes among those countries.
galaxy brain take
Ok then what, Darrin? Spell it out. For somebody that apparently ranks politicians over science, you have a very difficult time explaining what your outrage is. I watched your video, I don't see what point you were trying to make, especially what you responded to.
Is this like Hydroxychloroquine and Ivermectin where you made up your mind, but can't explain it? Do tell what you're thinking.
Just the Rand Paul spiel alone off the top of my head:
- Masks are a theater.
- COVID was created in a Wuhan lab and funded by the US government.
Not so hilarious was that when Paul said masks were a theater, Fauci told him he was not considering variants. And surprise, surprise, we have a variant going on again now that's causing mask mandates to pop up again. So who was right? Will Rand Paul ever admit to being wrong?
Strong border control. We failed at that.
Australia was awesome at that.
Here we go. And how would you know that? Anything to back that up?
Of course we failed at that. We were talking back in March 2020 how South Korea was contact tracing every person coming in and out of the country, and people here were scoffing at Koreans making a line to do mandatory testing (I mean, we didn't even have tests ready then).
We also had the president downplaying the virus and bragging how it was going down to zero very rapidly. It was a complete fumble.
Like Rand, I've both had covid and been twice vaccinated. Total overkill.
Don't understand your point about HCQ and Ivermectin. What was the evidence for approving Remdesivir?
If two people accuse each other of being liars, who's right?
Based on what? Anecdote? Children get ~7 vaccines two months in. But this is overkill?
Studies like this:
https://www.nejm.org/doi/full/10.1056/nejmoa2007764
Remdesivir was attacking a different problem at the time, which was improved recovery time once patients were hospitalized. We didn't have effective vaccines back then.
My point about HCQ and Ivermectin is that you seem to have a penchant for rushing to conclusions. Thus, I was asking if this is another case of those.
When time proved one correct and the other incorrect, I don't think it's difficult to tell who has been lying.
"There’s an old myth that you can’t fold a single sheet of paper in half more than seven times. Thanks to Mythbusters and Britney Gallivan we know that with very specialized (large and thin) sheets of paper, you can fold paper 11 or 12 times respectively."
Darrin pretty much doubled that record this evening.
Dont disagree. We shud have shut down retions like china. As soon as virus came. And shoud have worn masks from day 1 and have checkpoints.
CDC.and entire USA.completely failed us
As I have been attempting to point out to your gullible ass for over a decade, your internal standard of evidence, and the method by which you use to determine what is true or not, sucks.
You have here accepted something as true without good evidence or good reasoning.
You get to stand in the corner with Derp, who believes in a world of fake snow, and Cosmored, who thinks that hundreds of thousands of people could keep quiet about faking a series of moon landings.
When your epistemology is poor, your conclusions are poor. Your conclusions are, in fact, poor.
The conclusion that this virus MUST have come from a lab is not really supported by good evidence.
"I don't have any good evidence as to how it could have happened, but it MUST have been X" That is the epitome of bad reasoning.
If one is a scientist with a PhD and decades worth of applicable experience, and published papers in his field, and the other is a hack politician, that is not really a difficult question to answer.
If you aren't a gullible idiot that is.
