Personal update, apparent false positives.
3 days later PCR tests were negative. We also found out nobody else came up positive, hopefully.
Wife still has a cold, it may be an allergy. I am symptom free so far.

My sis just told me my nephews had 1st day of school today and their masks are completely destroyed with sweat, dirt, etc. They had to go through a couple masks and complained of being hot and hard to breathe.
Sucks tbqh. Not to mention the middle schooler said the hallways and stairs were.super crowded.and.kids were bumping into each other all day
Its gonna be interesting what happens a few weeks from now in that school district

There's actually a huge difference between this wave and prior ones in Israel. They had lockdowns in previous ones, but since they got early vaccination, they stopped those.
Problem is early vaccination means Delta hit them in the nuts when protection from the second shot was waning. No lockdowns means transmission via children, who are largely unvaccinated.
Also a big difference in enforcement of the mask mandate, which used to be penalized with a fine, and that's no longer the case (mostly because of vaccination becoming available).
Masks undoubtedly work, but as Fauci correctly pointed out, vaccines will lower people's guard, tbh.

Some districts are going to have a real problem controlling the proper use and overcrowded classrooms. We already know the basic surgical mask becomes horribly ineffective when in the same room with large crowds for long periods of time. We will probably find out more about overcrowding is public schools. I dont know what to say about this. Its very disheartening.
Other interesting data coming back is most American run airlines that stay in the US are most likely NOT having a problem because of masking and air which is hopeful data. But it might be linked to better masks being worn and air filtration.
