Will there be space in the hospitals if everyone gets it at once?
Everybody is getting infected eventually
Will there be space in the hospitals if everyone gets it at once?
if they're not afraid, why are they jamming up the hospitals?
https://www.mississippifreepress.org...e-less-scared/Mississippi has now surpassed the state of New York, the nation’s original pandemic hotspot, in total COVID-19 deaths per capita. The only state where the pandemic has proven deadlier than the Magnolia State is New Jersey. Mississippi displaced New York with a report of 65 additional deaths on Friday—a day after Gov. Tate Reeves told a Tennessee audience that southerners are “a little less scared” of COVID-19 due to their religious faith.
New York had led the nation in COVID-19 deaths per capita until New Jersey overtook it for the top spot in June 2020; the Empire State remained second until yesterday, when Mississippi bumped it down to third.
Thats not how it works. Especially since only 5% need a hospital bed. Vaxed or unvaxed. Not to mention everyone doesnt get infected at once![]()
A narrow focus on eventual outcomes obscures the consequences of how pandemics unfold in real time.
ventilation, filtration, rapid testing and gene sequencing -- where are they?
too much of a capital burden?
the official messaging is still horrlble, the Biden Administration continues to blow it.
People are still touching their faces too
https://mynbc15.com/news/coronavirus...t-due-to-covidThe Cullman County Public School system is switching 5 of its schools to remote learning after a surge of Covid-19 cases.
This will happen everywhere. It is what it is. They will go back offline after a few weeks. New normal![]()
move along, nothing to see here, just nature taking its course
https://www.tampabay.com/news/educat...-the-new-year/The surge of COVID-19 cases that ushered in the new school year has quickened dramatically.
Public school systems in Hillsborough, Pinellas, Pasco and Hernando counties reported 5,334 cases of the virus this past week among students and staff — far outpacing the 2,153 cases they reported the previous week.
The right has learned from the left
"muh freedom"
"they took our jobs!!!!"
"THEY TURK ERRR JERBS!"
Yep, yep.
totally reasonable...![]()
Funny to see red and blue making hay every time the sun shines on their respective narrative, then pretend someone ed up when it doesn't, like a virus gives 2 s.
Making good progress
"What part of Im infecting ing everyone dont these idots.get??" - The Delta Variant
the rate at which it happens matters. we have some control over that. if we have mass casualties because hospitals get too jammed up that's a debacle -- an embarrassing and very painful failure.
The part they dont get is that you are a fkn idiot.
You like that it is dumped on hospitals all at once?
If only your mom had to have chemotherapy in a HOSPITAL you might get it.
She's gonna wait for that treatment.
Again.
The bottom line is to avoid overwhelming health care facilities so we can treat people for something other than the virus that just are, you know, the regulars...?
It is getting really bad at hospitals in a number of places in the US.
Its a simple idea not to overwhelm your capacity. Some governors dont get this.
