The authoritarians gave us options. How kind of them. To put this in perspective these are the same people that think getting off your ass to go vote every 4 years with an ID or requesting the ballot is too demanding. Of course they are lying and just trying to reach low information voters.

Remember there are contracts. Unless its stipulated in the contract. There is absolutely nothing they can do especially if contractors dont sniff federal.buildings.

If your employer asks for vaccine you can negotiate.to become a contractor. Case solved.

I've always said I think private businesses should be able to decide their own vaccine policies, and that goes both ways. So I don't like it.
If you're going to mandate the vaccine, mandate the vaccine. Don't put the onus on businesses.
I would rather see this done through pressure in other areas - Higher premiums, hospital access restrictions, vaccine requirements for large events, etc. This feels like a half-assed and passive approach.
