But for a vast majority these vaccines work very well at preventing serious illness and I'm not willing to trade my life away for five years, ten years, who knows how long this pandemic will be flaring. Now that any American who wants to be vaccinated has been vaccinated I'm ready for us to just start living with it in the US.

The hospitals are going to be ed in various waves until most everyone not vaccinated catches the virus. It was worth shutting a lot of the economy down when this was a novel virus that put a large proportion of people who caught it in the hospitals, but now it's not novel to people who have caught it before and/or been vaccinated.
