What do you mean never dangerous? over 850,000 deaths in the US alone, in barely two years. That puts it in the top 3 in leading causes of death in the US, right below hearth disease and cancer.
Not to mention the collapse of health services, which end up causing additional otherwise avoidable deaths. I really don't understand people like you that continue to downplay this thing, especially at this stage.
You should look into who died of covid and their underlying health problems.

What do you think happens when a person with a deadly injury comes to a hospital with no beds, packed with infected people and no nurses or doctors available? That person dies due to COVID too, despite he might not have been infected.
This happened all over the world. Italy and New York were probably the more visible cases here in the US, but stuff like this has happened all over the world.

That vaccines were intended to stop the transmission of disease is more or less a strawman. It was clear early on the mRNA vaccines do not confer sterilizing immunity, Biden's gamble was the vaccines alone would reduce the social cost of COVID to a politically tolerable level. The gamble didn't pay off, Delta and Omicron defeated it.
In the meantime, mitigation of airborne disease was more or less deemphasized, with the results we see now, schools, hospitals and businesses cracking under the pressure of an outbreak of mass sickness worse than any we've seen yet.

COVID cheerleaders like Darrin, hater and Snake Boy attack Joe Biden with glee for his failure to contain COVID and the ongoing breakdown of ins utions under pandemic pressure, but in his place none of them would have done anything different, because none of them think the government has any legitimate role in fading risk or reducing harm to people. All seem think the best course of action is none at all, to just let COVID have its way with us, on the naive belief that this will somehow protect us from future outbreaks.
