They weren't " ing around", they were doing research that paved the way to the benefits we see today, including genetic sequencing in a matter of months and novel vaccines in a matter of a year and a half. And they did so securely and responsibly.
This is exactly why they're great assets to this country, and we should all be thankful that they've saved countless lives.
