No the wave crested with the city locked down. And talking herd immunity when the NYC infection rate is estimated to be 21% from antibody testing done? That's a pretty far cry from the 40% to 70% infection rate epidemiologists like Osterholm say will be necessary.
And those that were approved have their own struggles. UI is behind several payments for a lot of people including myself.
, Sunday was my latest day to request an UI payment, but the website is so ty it said it wasn't the correct day despite my claim saying it was indeed the 26th. Now I have to wait a few more days to request. Once I do, UI will be behind on 3 of my payments.
Of course but goose/gander etc..
So basically system working as intended.
Just for some perspective, more people will have died in April from this one disease, than the entire year for the flu.
Yeah probably. I have no faith in the system to give me what I'll be owed. Now the website is saying I was paid more than the one payment I've received. Bank says they have nothing pending, and other's I've asked have said they've gone through the same issues (claims not paid, late pay, site says it was paid but nothing was sent to account, etc).
No way I'll get ahold of anyone either. I've already tried but don't have the time to call all day like some people who are literally calling hundreds to a thousand times a day for a month now.

Yeah, its worse than flu, but it's not ebola.
Would it be worse than the flu if no one got a flu shot?
irrelevant and probably.
This thing is just going to be everywhere. yikes.
Depends on what you mean by "worse".
Risk has two dimensions. Probability and magnitude. For the virus, transmittable = probability, and lethalness = magnitude
Ebola has a worse magnitude, but a much lower probability.
This his a massively larger probability, and lower magnitude.
Overall, Covid-19 is worse, as it is so much more easily passed on, despite being much less lethal. "Worse" in this sense being "will kill more people" in reality.
Heard that question asked.
The response is "novel". Flu is around so much that as a group we have some modest immunity to it anyway.
This is too "novel". Like introducing small pox to the americas.
First dog tested positive. No idea what this means long term. Will it eventually infect all species?

A zoo tiger has also had it.
Hopefully whales will get it
seasonal flu is not as easily transmissible as C19, and other infections have symptoms comparatively quickly so the victim knows, but C19 is transmissible and symptom-less for days before and sometimes even after symptoms are gone.
Capital considers Labor to be expendable, so you rightwingnutjobs go self-expend on we smart people's behalf
Damn, brah. You wishing death on all of San Antonio now?
What?? CV19 has killed +50K US citizens...ebola claimed 2.
I think I get his point yeah Ebola has 60% death rate. but still this is much worse for our population as its near
impossible to trace due to asymptomatic spreaders.
ebola was comparatively easy to spot and cut off infection.
in other words while ebola plays chess this virus plays 4D chess
