Not my field, but I somehow doubt people will worry that we overreacted when we have thousands if not tens of thousands dead form this thing in a couple of weeks/months. Think of all the we changed after 9/11 and we're going to eclipse that death toll by orders of magnitudes.

DarrinS pivots to blame the press for creating panic, when Trump and his minions have been spreading disinformation and downplaying the seriousness/danger for weeks.
When the government puts out false information about a public emergency, the public freaks out when it starts to learn the reality.
The thing about denying this science vs denying climate change is that we're not looking at decades to see the results. We're looking at a month or two. So sure, go ahead and call out people for causing panic and overreacting but when it becomes obvious that march was already too late for an overreaction lets just hope it doesn't come by way of your family being in an ICU. I mean why trust world reknown epidemiologists when you have Dr. Drew?

Just for some perspective, more Americans have died of regular flu this season than the worldwide covid-19 deaths.
More than double the covid-19 count.
We have a vaccine and medicine for the regular flu AND we know that it's seasonal.
This Coronavirus is just starting to be unleashed and we can't even test fast enough to know who has it and who doesn't.
