Y'all think the pharm companies are pushing the government to open so they can get more positive patients to test their vaccines on?
Nah.
The only real conspiracy with Pharm Companies that has been proven to be true is Vaccine vs Treatment.
There is no incentive for them to do this if vaccine efforts are being funded by countries. They'll get their human trials regardless.
typically with viruses that aren't considered pandemic, Big pharm very rarely invests on vaccination programs especially if they have an existing treatment program avaiable. If anything if remsidvier treatment worked, these companies can lobby or push for the ineffectivines of vaccines even if they do prove to be effective.

IDK fam, thats why i asked. My neighbor is a nurse and she said pharm companies are pushing for a vaccine and the only way to justify it is to do more testing and testing more positives. This all came out of our conversation about if there will be a e in cases once we reopen.

The virus is made up of its genetic material, (1)RNA.
And it outer covering (2)membrane and protein aka antigen. Responsible for carrying the genetic material and attaching to our cells.
Very simple structures these viruses, much simpler that bacterial cells or our cells. Virus are not cells.
There are two types of vaccines right now, one for the outer covering (proteins and membrane) and one for the RNA (viral genetic material).
The thought is a vaccine to the proteins and membrane is preventative, so they want people that are older and test negative.
The one for the viral RNA may work while the virus is in action inside our body.
The aspect I dont quite understand is how the vaccine for the RNA will even find the virus as a "properly replicating virus" will have its RNA uncovered AND INSIDE our cells so our antibodies made to the RNA would theoretically never get to the functional replicating viral RNA. It might find bits and pieces of RNA from viruses that have been destroyed, but my thinking is it cant get virus outside the cell because its covered by the membrane protein complex. Maybe these antibodies can somehow penetrate the viral membrane, but I dont see how as antibodies are themselves proteins and they are large. This is why a vaccine for the membrane/protein would seem more reasonable.
I would have to look up more. But this is what i got so far.

vaccines need negative people actually, bc they expose them intentionally to the virus (and placebo) to see if the vaccine works. They also check if there are crazy side effects like growing a tail
