They are still having some NCAA basketball games with fans for some reason. Is it stupid to go to one?
Seems like everyone will get the virus unless they isolate themselves.

The Extraordinary Decisions Facing Italian Doctors
There are now simply too many patients for each one of them to receive adequate care.
Two weeks ago, Italy had 322 confirmed cases of the coronavirus. At that point, doctors in the country’s hospitals could lavish significant attention on each stricken patient.
One week ago, Italy had 2,502 cases of the virus, which causes the disease known as COVID-19. At that point, doctors in the country’s hospitals could still perform the most lifesaving functions by artificially ventilating patients who experienced acute breathing difficulties.
Today, Italy has 10,149 cases of the coronavirus. There are now simply too many patients for each one of them to receive adequate care. Doctors and nurses are unable to tend to everybody. They lack machines to ventilate all those gasping for air.
The principle they settle upon is utilitarian.
“Informed by the principle of maximizing benefits for the largest number,”
they suggest that “the allocation criteria need to guarantee that those patients with the highest chance of therapeutic success will retain access to intensive care.”

You ever see "Airport" bouts? From '70. There is a part there where the airport manager (Burt Lancaster) is trying to explain to a hot shot airliner pilot (Dean Martin) the reality of the allocation of $.
There is a snowstorm, worse in history to ever hit "Chicago."
"I told you this would happen. Why didn't you plan for this?"- Martin
"And I told you that you don't plan for a once in a lifetime storm. You plan for regular storms, then when a disaster hits you work around the clock, do the best you can." - Lancaster.
Same thing with Corona. You want all these beds and hospitals sitting around for the past century waiting for (Corona). No. When Corona hits you work around the clock and do the best you can.

The covid-19 problem in Italy arose from Italians cynically disrespecting, disregarding the govt's advice, which the Repugs have been telling USA citizens to do for decades "government IS the problem, not the solution" subtext: destroy govt, privatize everything
Same as you Trash fellatin / govt hatin' / science-denying ignorant, gulled pricks in USA
