This has got to get figured out for so many reasons. Getting kids to school and parents working effectively is huge for economics, mental health, etc... this huge strain on families must get fixed, school is a part of this. Hopefully we get vaccinations in full swing. We had no effective structure from the prior administration so the foundation has to be fixed. We knew bottle necks in getting the vaccine to the arm would occur, but there was nothing to solve these jams.
It's an issue of public safety at its very core. If people want to be anti-intellectual and anti-science they can do it on their own time in their own homes.

If schools are to re-open, why isn't school staff at the head of the vaccination line?

teachers in enclosed classrooms, already low quality air w/o Kovid Kids making it toxic.

Just an fyi of another bullet that missed us. Just hoping a ricochet does not get us.

Russia reports world's first case of human infection with H5N8 bird flu.

Russia has registered the first case of a strain of bird flu virus named A(H5N8) being passed to humans from birds and has reported the matter to the World Health Organization (WHO), Anna Popova, head of consumer health watchdog Rospotrebnadzor, said on Saturday.

Russia has registered the first case of a strain of bird flu virus named A(H5N8) being passed to humans from birds and has reported the matter to the World Health Organization (WHO), Anna Popova, head of consumer health watchdog Rospotrebnadzor, said on Saturday.

Seven workers at a poultry plant in Russia's south had been infected with the H5N8 strain when there was an outbreak at the plant in December, Popova said, adding that the individuals involved felt fine now.

"This situation did not develop further," she added.

    Of course it is.

But decisions are made about public safety that cause other effects.
Yep to your second sentence. And one of the effects will be to drive people to experience derp denial, or possibly unfounded paranoia. Imo we don’t need to create more loners. This has an effect of creating more derp-like thought.

As soon as the Dems took over ...

America's vaccine rollout has been among the best in the world

at least compared to other wealthy countries.

The big picture:The U.S. has carried out more vaccinations than any country in the world, and

given a first dose to a higher percentage of its population (12%) than all but five countries:

Israel, the Seyc es, the UAE, the U.K. and Bahrain.

More great news from Israel which, as y'all may recall, is doing a national study with Pfizer on its own vaccination program.

the first shot of the main two is 80%+ effective in preventing progression to serious disease and death

Even the Oxford one is 60%+ effective

    NONE of them prevent infection

    side effect: rapid urban change

With Paris traffic subdued by a COVID-19 lockdown, Mayor Anne Hidalgo decided on April 30 to close the nearly two-mile-long road to cars, in order to create more space for pedestrians and bicyclists. Workers repainted the road and transformed a major artery in central Paris – home of the world-renowned Louvre museum – virtually overnight.

It was not just Rue de Rivoli. Using only paint and screw-in markers, nearly 100 miles of Parisian roads were temporarily reallocated to cyclists in the early months of the pandemic – a revolution in urban reprogramming. It was later announced that the changes would become permanent.

The Parisian example highlights the extent to which the pandemic has accelerated the pace of urban innovation, compressing what would have taken years into months or even weeks. Beyond highlighting the flaws in pre-pandemic urban systems – such as high levels of pollution – it has allowed city leaders to bypass bersome bureaucracy, and respond much more efficiently to the needs of people and businesses.

Out of all the countries in Latin America, including countless of US puppet states, Cuba the US black sheep and the most embargoed, is on the verge of being the 1st Latin American country to develop and produce a Covid vaccine.

    Think about that

By Next year vacines will be tested on millions of human guinea pigs and I will be able to pick a winner.
