You are in your 50's. Somewhere in your body you have some small (hopefully) amount of soft plaque which means you technically have cardiovascular disease. You can go to a concierge doctor who practices the Bale Doneen Method, pay them the $2k - $5k concierge fee out of pocket, then spend $10 - $20k out of pocket on advanced testing, and get officially diagnosed with cardiovascular disease.

Or select Group 1b and go get vaccinated.

Not sure what the hypocrisy here is unless you think he should have encouraged everyone to move.

I was watching an interview with Israeli doctor and she indicated they're giving single dose Pfizer to those who already recovered from covid

So, I'm going to wait until J&J is available here.

By the way, in that same interview, the doctor indicated reinfection was very rare, even with high prevalence of UK variant.

It's not an either/or proposition, is it?

Either U.S. schools should be closed due to the pandemic or they shouldn't. No one's really debating which option is better for kids' education, and I don't think someone advocating for closure has an obligation to deny their own kids alternate safe options. (Austria has had less than 5,000 COVID deaths in the past year.)

Stay-at-home policy is a case of exception fallacy: an internet-based ecological study
    https://www.nature.com/articles/s41598-021-84092-1

In conclusion, using this methodology and current data, in ~ 98% of the comparisons using 87 different regions of the world we found no evidence that the number of deaths/million is reduced by staying at home.

Just calm down..looks like well be swimming in vaccines in.3 or 4 months. Youll be able to pick a winner.

Apparently pfizer works well vs any variant. Sounds like a winner to me. Have patience and pick a winner
We got three winners right now.

    More of a both and.

There’s no problem with doing the best thing by your own kids, but if you recommend that others keep their kids out of school for safety’s sake, then do the opposite with yours, expect blowback.

It's not really the opposite because he did keep his kids out of US schools. He just had the means to send them somewhere safe for in person schooling.

I see what you mean, I don’t it’s a very big deal, so I’m disinclined to argue about it. It makes sense to me that people are griping about it even if there’s a logical inconsistency to the gripe.

Link Between Governors’ Party Affiliation And COVID-19 Cases, Deaths

The per-capita rates of new COVID-19 cases and COVID-19 deaths
were higher in states with Democrat governors in the first months of the pandemic last year,

but became much higher in states with Republican governors by mid-summer and through 2020,

possibly reflecting COVID-19 policy differences between GOP- and Democrat-led states

policy differences between Republican- and Democrat-governed states,

including mitigation measures such as mask mandates and social distancing requirements,

may have led to systematic differences in COVID-19’s impact on public health,

“Governors’ party affiliation may have contributed to a range of policy decisions that, together, influenced the spread of the virus,”

There are a few locations near me that only have J&J, so maybe vaccine shopping is possible. I'm expecting a bunch of mass vaccination events to be scheduled in the next couple months too, so I'll look for ones with J&J for the sake of full convenience.
