We are very close to a point already where the number of people who can't get vaccinated or for whom vaccination is ineffective is miniscule.
    1) Show those numbers.

    2) Then add the numbers of people who won't get vaccinated by choice.

    3) Tell me what specific potential side effects worry you.

I'm judging by the sharp decrease in demand for the vaccine when we have plenty of doses. It's clear the number of people who can't get one is dwindling fast.

The number of older people who are vulnerable and won't get vaccinated is the bigger problem than teens with a sub 1% infection rate. More needs to be done to get those adults vaccinated.

The problem is we don't know the full range of side effects but fatal blood clots may be just one example.

iow, it's not about teens, it's about victims of teens spreading the virus
Look at the infection rate in the placebo group (approx. 0.2%). Seems like they're not the super spreaders but the carless adults are.

In a perfect world we would wait for more trials and let all the adults who can get fully vaccinated do that in the meantime.

Trump s won't do it, so we have to get the kids to bail them out as usual.
Well good luck getting the parents who refuse to get vaccinated to voluntarily vaccinate their kids.

That's not even an example compared to letting a kid get COVID.

40M between 10 and 19 = 80K infected teens potentially infecting 50% of American adults.

I suppose teens who refuse vaccination would be following the example of their ignorant, stupid, own-the-libs, Trash-fellating Repug parents.

The most vaccination resistant adults are on the low end of the socio-economic scale, aka, low-ed, low-wage, across all ethnic groups.

Why take any risk of keeping the tail of the Trump-Made Pandemic stretching out longer?

The World Health Organization has made a case for sending vaccines abroad before vaccinating teens in America.

The threat of variants emerging in other countries, including border states like Canada and Mexico, is probably a bigger threat to extend the pandemic than teens in America especially as more adults are vaccinated.

good point, but BigPharma wants to get paid, and paid extremely well. who is going to pay?

A basic points of the Repugs, Trash, and his cult mob is America First, the world, we ain't gonna pay to save foreigners' lives

Canada and Mexico can pay directly. Much poorer countries can get support from COVAX but it will need more funding too.

the lab leak theory, even if confirmed to be true, doesnt change one iota of how putrid our response to the outbreak was

Yup. Also there are rumors of a leak from Ft Detrick. Etc etc

Someday maybe we will find out (doubt it)

Either way. Meaningless. We knew what was coming for months.

All we did is laugh at chinas misfortune, said it would be good for our econony and said we are the most prepared country in the world

The only positive thing Darrin can say about the pandemic is socialized medicine.

ive given trump credit for warp speed, and the fact that we had multiple viable vaccines developed as quickly as we did was incredible.

the way we treated this from february through the vaccine rollout was pretty abysmal

Obama financed Moderna with $10Ms years before Trash announced. BionTech also had been researching mRNA for years

Trash killed 500K Americans, sickened/maimed Ms more, by killing pandemic preparedness and not doing anything for months after he was told covid-19 was coming to USA

Trash's WARP was his futile attempt get vaccine out as campaign tactic

Katalin Karikó worked on it for 30 years before that, tbh
