Speaking of being ing pissed, now I read a nursing home run by them in Live Oak is being investigated. So yay, a potential hot spot in my area.

Numbers of cases down by half though for the second straight day. We're right on top of the peak window.

the death figures lag behind the "new case" figures, obviously, so it's not that surprising we'd see deaths still go up as new cases decrease. it still paints a hopeful picture that in ~7-10 days or so we'll see the death figures follow suit and begin to decrease. that more or less aligns with the projections of deaths peaking on or about april 15

Sorry to inform ya scrah, but once you hit that peak, it sustains ~15 days. I'm not convinced there's not one more e before peak though, weekend reporting numbers are always funny.

Seeing that the subways in NY are still jam packed every day, I don’t see why people think we’re already at the top. Imo we’re going to see 1k+ deaths per day for the whole month of April and if we’re lucky it slows down in May.
