here in chile we are now at 80%+ double dose vaccinated (not counting children under 13, we have a mix of say 55% sinovac, 30% astrazeneca and 15% pfizer), and cases have dropped radically (despite delta coming in from the US a couple months ago), positivity is now under 1%, several regions have 0 cases- sinovac works, as do masks and travel restrictions (which tightened once those delta cases came in). Everything is opening back up save for travel, masks still required in public areas and all gatherings have a limit of people/sqft, which changes from indoor/outdoor and is halved if there is just one person present without their double dose of vaccine- for example i can have a party with 100 people in my yard/10 inside if double vaccinated, but only 50/5 if just one of them doesnt have their vaccine card (i have a big yard

Pfizer has been proven the most inefficient at long lasting protection. Also Israel started vaccinating in Jan and had almost completed vaccinating all adults in March. Thus why they are now throwing at this point to see what sticks qnd the US seems will follow suit

dude its winter here. and cases here in chile didnt drop, theyve plummeted over 90%. unfortunately most other south american countries arent near chile's vaccination rollout and case drop, the vaccines work and having massive coverage makes a difference
