I'll check this out, I like High Maintenance a lot too.
Was looking for highly rated sci fi shows and this was mentioned.
Centers around a family in England from the years 2020-2030 (I think). It's not sci fi like spaceships and lasers but more of a continuous Black Mirror episode.
Takes some of the problems/dilemmas the world is facing today and extrapolates them across the next 10 years. It really does an excellent job of making it all believable.
Great cast and quick pace. 6 episodes of 1 hour each.
8.5/10

Thanks. Will def checc it out.
I watched a couple of episodes of HM last night. Good stuff. Although I realized quickly that this isn’t one to have on the main TV with the family around. I’m surprised I hadn’t heard of this show.
Have you seen the outsider yet? It's good. Shame I never got to read the book.
No...in fact I wasn’t even aware of it until I saw a teaser last night. I read the book and remember liking it until the ending. Will definitely watch.
I read the description of this and got a Downton abbey vibe from it. Pass
Show about a British family. Sounds like Downton Abbey. That’s bad enough to be an Andy take.
Btw...Downton Abbey was great. YaY is definitely not that though.
Yeah it's not a pass because it's bad. I've seen Downton Abbey and thought it was good. Just not in the mood for one of those slow burner shows right now.
I don’t really care if you watch it but your assessment of it is way off. I would not call this a slow burn at all. The starts happening in the first episode and something fairly significant happpens in each one.
