in the year he was on the Suns, Quentin Richardson’s PPG went down from the prior season with the Clippers and he was less efficient. The Suns actually ruined his career as they turned him into an inefficient chucker. Jim Jackson meanwhile averaged less PPG with the Suns than he did on Houston that season prior to being traded. He’d been a career role player / journeyman and he remained ome with the Suns.

Per usual though you dodged my question because you know the answer. Instead you want off on a random tangent about ‘03 Duncan which had nothing to do with anything.
Timmy was still the best player on his team in '05 but it was awfully close. By '07, he wasn't the best player on the Spurs. Nash took the Marbury roster and turned them from a 44 win team to a 62 win team instantaneously.

I thought of it because Stockton/Marino made a Finals/Super Bowl but lost it to an even better talent, Jordan/Montana. Otherwise they were top playoff contenders but never made it to the biggest dance.

Rodgers stuck with his non large market team. Though I guess AR had the luxury of getting the coach fired.

CN always comes up with the dumbest . He's a broken clock.

There's not many cases in the NBA of a guy who won a championship early and had a great career but didn't win another one.

I wish SB MVP went to Williams so that the Mahomes=Curry comparisson would have been even more accurate.

Mahomes absolutely has potential to be the Jordan of the NFL. Brady is still the GOAT, and it will be a long ass time before he’s dethroned (if he ever is), but he never had the dynamic force of nature quality that Mahomes shares with MJ.

Only injuries will prevent Mahomes from becoming the GOAT over Brady IMO. And that includes winning 6 more rings which Mahomes has all the time in the world to do.

Chiefs will likely cut Watkins and his 16M with zero guaranteed for 2020. Probably cut Hitchens as well. They'll have plenty of money to replace those guys and overall improve their roster. Mahomes will get his 40M/year contract long term.

If it was that easy lots of guys would have 6 rings. What Brady did is damn near impossible, but I give Mahomes a small shot at doing it. We’ll see how he fares going up against Burrow & Lawrence over the next decade.

I doubt Mahomes gets 6, but he doesn't need to. If he gets 3 or 4 and continues on the pace he's at in terms of yds, TD's and regular season MVP's he will be considered the GOAT over Brady, imho.
