more power to him if he does tbh... i'm not rooting for his demise. i'm disappointed that a center-right economic platform is the best the party can offer
Is he really center right or is that just a misconception since he’s not as far left as Bernie who is probably the most progressive/far left candidate we’ve seen.

We flipped 2 seats in Michigan as well from red to Blue. The next step for us is to hold our collective breath Biden doesn't totally go senile now.

i suppose it's a matter of perspective. i mean, in the context of our political system, biden is about as left as most democrats. but i'd say at least on economic policy, our overton window is pretty far to the right

obama was called a socialist and far left and what did he do, extend the bush tax cuts but raise the highest marginal tax rate by about 3%

obamacare was an improvement to what we had before, but still didnt attack the burden of cost on the average american. student loan crisis wasn't addressed. wages didnt see real growth.

overdue, but lol at kamala endorsing biden after she was a co-sponsor on bernie's medicare for all bill, a co-sponsor for the green new deal, and made the most noise on the debate stage when she called out biden for his past policies on race. i primaried for her back in 2016, but man, she personifies the phony politician type. constantly grandstanding during every televised hearing.

i hope she becomes AG so she gets out of the senate

True, it is a matter of perspective. Living in a Republican state like Louisiana and growing up in Mississippi, Biden is definitely viewed as a lefty with his views on gay marriage, abortion, taxes, healthcare, etc.

right, which is why i specifically referenced his economic platform. i dont think there's much distinction between democrats on social issues like abortion, gay marriage. i just dont see how his views on tax policy are seen as far left.

Now can some of you come to grips that Biden actually gives us a more than great shot at flipping the senate? Bernie is just as weak as Hillary. Probably weaker.
I’ll come to grips with the fact Bernie would have been weak but I’m never going to agree with nominating a 78 year old who’s cheese is sliding off his cracker. The DNC is making the same mistake where they’re picking someone because they think it’s his “turn” instead of determine who the most electable candidate is.

What about Biden’s view on taxes and healthcare makes it a decidedly lefty position? Biden’s views on healthcare are significantly further to the right than the rest of the modern world.

This is exactly SR21’s point. The overton window on economic issues is so far to the right in this country that anyone who doesn’t fervently believe in trickle down economics is considered a communist.

Bernie supporters literally went out to register today and then proceed to complain about long lines. Probably would've been a good idea to do it last week or something I dont know..

Yeah I don’t agree with this criticism. There shouldn’t be any difficulty with being able to vote. None. The millennials who didn’t bother to show up at all can go themselves but voting should be an easy and painless process even if you’re doing same day registration.

On healthcare he guarantees healthcare for everyone which is opposite of what Republicans want. He just doesn’t want it Medicare for all. But to those who can’t afford private insurance, he wants to guarantee them coverage.

But this applies to the old folks too and they stick it out. I agree with the overall point that voting shouldn't be a long pain but when you have people in their 60s/70s in these same lines you cant talk. No excuses.

Right which proves the point, the fact you think Biden is a hardline lefty merely because today’s Republican Party disagrees with him.

Who has the outlandish/extreme view here, Biden for wanting to make sure people who live in the richest country in the world are guaranteed healthcare, or Republicans for wanting America to be a country where people who can’t aftord healthcare die on the streets?

    Bernie's done.

    a) he's not a Dem

    b) the Dem establishment is way to the right of Bernie. Progressives have NO party, in spite of 10Ms of progressive citizens

center right Biden vs far right Trash, 2 old white men both in mental decline.

America is ed and un able

Both parties are more conservative than their voters. both of them.

So why don’t progressives form their own party? Then there won’t be a concern over the DNC shutting them out.

To be clear, I mean an organization like the DNC or RNC.

I have a hard time sympathizing with the DNC hates Bernie complaint when The ole comrade ain’t even a Democrat.

It’s never going to happen but not sure why Dems are encouraging this, any kind of Sanders-led 3rd party would spell the death of the Democratic Party.

Bernie's spokesperson said he will not speak tonight. Is he and Biden working out some type of deal? Biden hasn't spoken either. It's time to unite, imo.

Wouldn’t be surprising, he and Biden are genuinely friends with each other behind the scenes, while he and Hillary definitely hate each other

Imo it’s worth it for Bernie to stick it out for next weeks debate. If he can’t turn the race around after that he should fight for the party platform to move a little further to the left and then he should concede.
