The economic prosperity came way before Jewish money was confiscated. That has nothing to do with it.
IIRC they were being suppressed really early on. The ghettoizing them came later though.

    Mao and Stalin was communism

Hitler was fascism (more similar to a Trump presidency tbqh)

I'd say socialism has and is working very well for Scandinavia
    Fancy name for full-on socialism.

Huh? I still like him a lot but when he starts coming in 4th and 5th with 100% name recognition it's pretty much a given he sucks
It's early. Super Tuesday will tell us what.

real clear just released a batch of polls from tons of super Tuesday states. It's pretty disheartening how Bloomberg is actually competing. I guess is all in for Bernie.

National polls still shows Biden with the best chance to beat Trump.

bloomberg's success in the polls is legitimately depressing, tbh

joining late, skipping debates, literally skipping states... and still finding success just because he's willing to spend spend spend.

Hopefully Bernie and Warren go to town on him on tomorrow's debate. (Yes, he actually made the Las Vegas debate)

Hitler reduced taxes/regulations and was reluctant to get involved in military conflicts. I did not know that.

Just curious, do you know what countries do not allow private health insurance?

very broadly speaking, fascism describes the power structure, not necessarily the individual policies.

i think warren will get some shots at bloomberg, but for the most part i think think they're going to be too busy ganging up on sanders.

warren's post-new hampshire speech mostly sounded like a concession with her aching to endorse klobuchar... and just yesterday she jumped on the bandwagon of saying Bernie "has a lot to answer for" with respect to his twitter fans. bloomberg also recently released an online ad attacking the same thing. they still never really neatly put away the whole "bernie said a woman cant win" story. it has faded away, but they never had any kind of real reconciliation, at least publicly.

This is why she mistakenly gets associated with establishment even though it's clear she's not. And that sticks too.

She should be doing as well as Sanders but for one reason or another gets lumped in with the Biden's of the world.

her policy positions are definitely left of the establishment, but her rhetoric lately hasn't matched it. theres that culinary union in nevada which basically said they dont want M4A. bernie supporters on twitter apparently let them have it, which naturally blew up into a story on its own.. and her response to that was

the key word of "affordable" health care seems like an even further pivot from her original M4A position. if your policy position fundamentally differs from that union, i dont see how you can really take that position unless you're just trying to play both sides

and she's been leaning into the "girl power" angle quite a bit, separating her and klobuchar from the pack on more than one occasion. of course there was also the whole "bernie doesnt think a woman can win" stuff. nothing of substance, pure political stunts imo

for most of this cycle i had been fully behind warren and contributed to her campaign before anybody else, but imo she has run a pretty poor campaign since she peaked a few months ago. i had worried about this too, back when she released her DNA test results, i was even saying then that she'd be my preferred candidate on policy but that i thought that decision showed poor judgment and i was skeptical of her ability to campaign well

she'd still be my 2nd choice from this candidate pool right now, but doesnt have a realistic pathway to the nomination, and is just playing spoilers imho

one fair criticism on this topic is that he had promised to release his medical records following his heart attack. while he has released some things, its not nearly at the scope which was expected following his promise. and now he has seemingly backtracked on doing so.

and i get that a full release of medical records is probably unnecessarily intrusive, but its fair game when you are that old, have had a recent heart attack, and most importantly, already came out and said you WOULD release all of them

The media should've done it when it happened instead they played the hope and pray he's well card. The moment to bring up his health issue was then, not like 2 months after it happened.

I thought she’d basically be Bernie but more electable but to your point her campaign has been . She’s tried playing both sides and has been way too cavalier about it and the whole Bernie is a sexist thing was way too forced.

I still think not running in 2016 because she was worried about the staying friendly with the Clintons despite progressive America begging her to did permanent damage to her image that she hasn’t recovered from. Prior to 2016 she was considered the leader of the progressive movement in America and Bernie basically took that role from her when he was the one willing to risk DNC blowback and run against Hillary in the primary while she was groveling to be Hillary’s VP. There’s no way to know but I don’t think Bernie runs in 2016 if she ran and the cult of followers Bernie has now would be following her.

Between letting Bernie takeover as the king of the progressives and the DNA test she doesn’t have the “inevitable future president” shine to her name she used to have. It’s a shame too because the CFPB is a huge accomplishment she can point to that most senators running for President don’t have on their resume.

This. I thought he was super old last race, and that he was super super old when he started campaigning again. But all of a sudden now that he’s a front runner, mainstream corporate funded media wants to surface all of his campaigns weaknesses.

Not even going to watch the bull that is Pete or Klobuchars town halls. They will have such softball questions for them and be so nice, it will be like watching a Zion Williamson vs LeBron NBA game on BSPN

agree with all of this. and there is no way bernie would have ran in 2016 if she did. he was trying to get her to run... would make zero sense for him to push her to run if he intended to run against her

but even with her passing on running in 2016, she still had my support for 2020 for the bolded reasons above

warren's grilling of John Stumpf in 2016 was ing legendary tbh

ing Warren blowing a presidency all but giftwrapped to her. She is the Harden of DC. Shame because she was still my first choice until that re ed iden y politics hit on Sanders.

    +1

she was doing very well in early debates with the ridiculously crowded fields, and i think she had the standout moment from those early ones when she railed on people who "go through the trouble of running for president just to talk about the things we cant do and shouldnt fight for"

her medicare for all pivot into "we'll do public option first and then come back to it" was a big red flag (and coincides with when she started plummeting in the polls following her brief stint being virtually tied with biden), but she was still my #1 until that lousy hit job. since then she's been circling the drain tbh
