She used to say all kinds of awkward stuff back in the day. She's leveled off; but underneath it all she's nuttier than squirrel .

she was doing very well in early debates with the ridiculously crowded fields, and i think she had the standout moment from those early ones when she railed on people who "go through the trouble of running for president just to talk about the things we cant do and shouldnt fight for"

her medicare for all pivot into "we'll do public option first and then come back to it" was a big red flag (and coincides with when she started plummeting in the polls following her brief stint being virtually tied with biden), but she was still my #1 until that lousy hit job. since then she's been circling the drain tbh
Glad other people see it that way. Obvious sexist hit job on Bernie

    In other related news:

Collins now trails her oponent by 1. Well within the margin of error but I will take the blue font.

real clear just released a batch of polls from tons of super Tuesday states. It's pretty disheartening how Bloomberg is actually competing. I guess is all in for Bernie.

National polls still shows Biden with the best chance to beat Trump.

look again and the latest polls... sanders the only dem candidate beating trump head to head per the new emerson poll. his leads in the polls in nevada and california are widening

Ridiculous how they get away with a hefty fine and a suspension after scamming a whole lot of people.

I didn’t mind the public option pivot too much she just handled it poorly. Quite frankly I actually think the road to M4A from where we are now is going to likely include a public option bill first, which if done correctly will eventually weaken the insurance companies and lead to single payer.

Lmao us moderate neoliberal s democrats been telling you guys this for years. Especially since public option can be done with reconciliation which only needs 51 votes. Meanwhile you bros been calling any of us who doesn't support your absurd m4all plans (that need 60 votes) as monsters equivalent to someone who did 300 9/11s.

I’m sure that Bad Econ Takes opinions expressed on his Twitter feed are without hyperbole completely. He’s obviously very concerned with socialism. But seemingly completely cool with a $750 billion a year military budget, and being involved in 8 different wars in the middle east. That’s just money well spent, helps keep the economy going. spending $20 billion a year to end homelessness nationally.

Yeah sorry I can’t take your posts seriously anymore. They usually include a bunch of strawman arguments about stuff I never said, and you were a big enough re to think Bidn was the most electable Democrat.

Somebody with a better grasp of all of this is going to have to explain why it's a good idea or necessary to ban private insurance for those willing to pay for it.

His plan is more generous than the others. He didn’t say other countries have passed my bill. He said they have universal healthcare, which really is the first column

They still allow supplemental coverage for things like cosmetics, but:

Administrative costs make up for something like 25% of the cost of services right now, with hospitals having dedicated staff for billing/coding for various insurers. You drastically simplify that process and can attack cost there. They no longer need a collections department, etc.

you eliminate the concept of anybody being out of network. By having other plans, providers can just say... yeah we’re not gonna accept Medicare. When i was living in LA i had to drive to Lancaster to find a specialist covered in my plan. I’m sure others have had it worse

That also gives greater leverage to negotiate costs of services and drugs if they’re the only game in town. Though drug prices can alternatively be regulated through legislation

At this point I just assume it's some overton window , because there's no way he gets the dems to sign off on destroying the filibuster (the only way this passes) while also raising taxes and putting 1.8 million people out of work.

a public option would be an improvement to what we have, but it's a half measure that in and of itself does little to nothing to address the cost of services/drugs, and would create an even higher tax burden per capita on the govt plan. it would make it a tough selling point to transition from that to M4A (if that is the intended end goal), imho

Serious question though where have I ever said we should ban private insurance? I know Bernie says he wants to do it but doesn’t mean I agree with it. Imo if someone is willing to pay for private insurance then no reason to ban it, but I don’t think having private insurance should exempt someone from the taxes that pay for the public option.

Im also of the viewpoint that if you elect a moderate who’s end game is just a public option the Republicans will billy that president into just making modest Obamacare improvements with no public option. If you elect Bernie I think we’ll end up with a compromise that includes a public option.

I’d honestly be supporting Warren except for how bad I think she’d do against Trump. She’s accomplished more and has a more realistic plan, but she’s not a good enough politician the way Trump/Bernie are.
