Bernie's basic philosophy is NUTTY - work hard, achieve something and have the government take it from you and give to someone else who didn't. What does that do to anyone who strives to better his life, and why should someone who gets free x, y and z work? Pretty soon, no one will work. There ain't nothing that's for free.

Probably Buttigieg or Bloomberg if he’s not out of any chance. Unfortunately I have extremely little to no faith that Sanders can beat Trump and that the Democrats can hold the house with Sanders as the dem candidate. I don’t have issues with most of Sanders programs minus a totally free education or complete forgiveness of student loans, I just think it’s four years too early to attempt them and by jumping the gun A completely unbridled Trump will be in office another four years and do immeasurable damage to the country. Bros say there is no difference between centrist Democrats and Trump which is of course complete and utter BS. But the bros would rather have an untainted defeat than a tainted victory.

I don’t care about the positions he’s taken in the primary that he’s going to backpedal on. He was against Obamacare (called it a disgrace), was against Obama letting the GWB tax cuts expire, ramped up the stop and frisk policing, was in favor of Trumps corporate tax cuts, and poured millions of dollars into Pat Toomey’s campaign because muh gun control even though Toomey is a big reason we now have Kavanaugh. He’s also presumably in favor of citizens united since if not for that SCOTUS ruling his campaign wouldn’t be possible.

At this point he’s most interested in avoiding a wealth tax, which is why he entered the race right after Sanders and Warren started talking about one.

You’d rather Bernie run as an independent and siphon votes away from the Democratic candidate? That’s pretty re ed. Bernie running as a 3rd party would guarantee a Trump victory. Bernie is actually doing the right thing by running as a Democrat so his name doesn’t appear on the ballot unless the primary voters support him.

Its also an intellectually dishonest comparison. Bernie has an I next to his name but has always voted with the Dems in the senate and his only difference is he’s further to the left than them. Bloomberg disagrees with the Dems on most issues except for things like his gun control pet project. Bloomberg is ideologically a moderate Republican.

They make some horse argument about how Hillary was demonized as a far left socialist so she doesn’t really count as a moderate even though that argument proves our point — no matter who the Dems nominate Sean Hannity will convince his viewers that person is a socialist, thus the idea that we can cast a wide net with a moderate is flawed.

If Fox News can convince 40% of America that Hillary ing Clinton is a socialist then it can do the same with pretty much anyone who has a D next to his/her name.
