Do we know how Texas sees him? Is he a tackle or guard considering his height? Conner seems to be viewed as a guard and Bryce Foster is being recruited as a guard. James Brockermeyer is a center. Then you need two OT's. I haven't dug into the potential size of next years class, but is six OL one too many?
My initial reaction is he's headed for guard, and I think five or six isn't out out of the question since 2021 should be a full class.
That OL number may be determined by the quality of player they're able to sign, though.
Can they land the Brockermeyers and Byrd? Do they miss all three? Etc.
One of the hottest sop res in the state right now.

Need to have Sam Cosmi play his way into a first round o tackle
Brocks might do a double take.
They will probably make a decision well before that.
Beating LSU in Baton Rouge with them in attendance would be a great thing.
On OL numbers IMO six be perfect five would be ok, It is a great year for OL so get them while they are available.
Spring practice and game should bring shake out of several players positions and some attrition which help in recruiting solutions.
Good point.
Let me start this by saying I'm nowhere near being an NFL scout, but if I were a GM, Devin would be near the top of my list for WRs. He just has certain intangibles that set him apart. I know he doesn't have the prototypical size people are enamored with but the guy has great speed, toughness (he rarely gets tackled by one guy), he tracks the ball better than most, and above all he has excellent hands. We can honestly count the number of dropped balls he's had in 4 years on 2 hands or less (maybe even 1 hand). Plus, the guy is durable. I know I'm a Longhorn and my glasses are tinted burnt orange, but this guy is amazing. I would draft him in the 1st or 2nd round if WR was a position of need. I think he will have a double digit year NFL career. Probably one of my favorite players in the last decade. Sorry for the rant.
Wow.
I thought he was playing better at the end of the season?
He walked to the locker room during one of the games.
This is the tough part of training though.
I thought Jimbo liked these types who were a bit out of control, stealing crab legs and standing on cafeteria tables.
Would we want this fellow? Is it ATM or is it him?

I've said several times, nothing short of winning the conference and making the playoffs is acceptable for this team. We have an overhauled staff, Herman fired everyone but himself. We have a 4 year starting QB that is one of the 6 best this school has ever produced. We have starters returning at every position. There is no reason we shouldn't be favored in every game we play this year.
Like I said, if Herman can't get the job done with this group, he isn't ever going to get it done. It doesn't get much better than this for him.
As this relates to recruiting, if we lose out on the Brockermeyers then it falls right in the lap of Tom Herman.
I have no problem with Herman giving him a second chance since he has proven that he can keep his nose clean. Not everyone is going to pan out, it's just the way it is, but as long as he is a good citizen and does what he is supposed to, then keeping him around shouldn't be a question.
