Are there any really good youtube Longhorn classics (even just games) besides the USC National Championship that show every play?
    Found Arky 69
    Oklahoma 69
    Aggie 83 (missing some plays)

Had no idea we had so many turnovers in the Arky 69 game. Street had a very inconsistent passing game but kept coming. We hardly used Bertlesen, our leading rusher, to carry the ball. Steve W got a workout. We could not cover Dicus.

The 76 arky UT game is on utube.
This was the game that Broyles and Royal retired from coaching together.
And Christ was Earl Campbell tough. He had 3 men twisting him and slamming him to the ground every other play. And still kept dishing it out.
Campbell would look for people to hit in the secondary when he was surrounded
Our QBs were really not very good passers.

I saw a game of Earl Campbell in his freshman year. He was on a run, was tripped up, did a front flip from the contact and landed on his feet and continued. He was not as big as he later became but he was a strong, athletic athletic runner who put on weight and became a monster. I have always remembered this run.

    87 Arky UT game

No wonder the pigs hate us so much. We have beat them in some really gut wrenching ways.
Beat them on the last play. The rules have changed so much on fumbles and completions I can’t keep up
Eric Metcalf was absolute lighting and had a hop move that was so illusive. Arky bottled him up fairly well but he was by far the most talented offensive player on the field, not even close. Hager was the MLB and that dude was fast. I had no idea! We had a kid from San Antonio, Hagy, a safety, who was a gamer. Hard hitter and in all the right places. Huge interception in that game.

But we won a game we should have lost.

What the am I doing, I’m getting highs from ancient games.

Sorry about the interjection of old games into the 2021 recruiting page.I figure I have more of a chance of getting other tidbits of info from the old wise ones that may have actually seen and remembered these games. Getting a historical UT sports buzz from the games and any comments. Thanks.

I remember bits and pieces of that game as I was 11, but i believe the one that really got me hooked was the 90 Houston game at home. Been a die hard ever since. I believe you can find that game on youtube also. Hook-em!

I listened to that one on the radio at my family's deer lease near San Saba!
