    He also threw two picks.
I wasn't concerned about that because he was facing one of the best defenses in the state and if you watched the game, he had zero time to throw the ball most every time he dropped back. It's still a team game and he needs help from the oline to do his job.

Sounds like Texas.Every QB needs protection some more than others. Two picks to meis saying did not protect the ball.
Next season will tell then a third QB might be better time tells.

I remember a all world went to texas and was beat out by a third all district QB high school to Univ. is sometimes a big jump.

Kwiatkowski’ became the DC at Boise St in 2010
Here are his defensive ranks using FEI and SP

    2010: 2nd (FEI), 6th (SP)
    2011: 24th, 15th
    2912: 19th, 19th
    2013: 68th, 58th
    2014 (hired by UW): 23rd, 31st
    2015: 5th, 27th
    2016: 6th, 4th
    2017: 14th, 13th
    2018: 8th, 4th
    2019: 16th, 24th
    2020: 65th, 10th (just 4g total)

They only played 4 games in 2020 and were missing many defenders to covid-related stuff in the last game which skewed those stats

Washington played Alabama in the playoffs in 2016
Bama's offense was the usual unit full of 5-stars unit (this was the 13-0 team with Hurts at QB and Lane Kiffin as OC)
Bama won 24-7 by scoring off UW turnovers, including a pick-6. The Wash defense gave them fits
At the time Sarkisian was an Offensive Analyst and interim OC for Alabama -- I guess he remembered that defense

Last season I felt Herman did a great job retooling with assistants I liked his coordinators more than I liked him. This go around I love most every hire and I have great faith in Sark as a play caller and Washington as a DC. This might be the best group of coaches Texas has ever started out with.

Edge rusher Garfield Lawrence from Tyler getting CBs to Texas
    https://247sports.com/Player/Garfiel...ence-46094670/

Here is what Gerry Hamilton wrote about him --
"Lawrence, who I met at a satellite camp in Kilgore two years ago, was a young man with a death gripe handshake, that looked you in the eyes. The gangly tight end/OLB always had the frame, he just needed time. Former HC Kurt Traylor once said, “he could be a star with the right development and growth.” Traylor is looking pretty smart today. This recruitment won’t last very long if Texas really wants him."

Texas needs to bring in about 5 offensive linemen in the 2022 cycle. They should have done it in the 21 cycle but was terrible at it. Now they need to rely on the transfer portal and maybe pick up a JC transfer or two. Out of all the positions on this team Oline is the most devoid of talent. Second on that list is DE. However with the coming class there is a couple of guys that can give relief I'd still like to see a transfer or 2 to get those numbers up as well.

  23. #4498
With Tyler in portal it leaves 12 OL not seniors that might return. A little over two depth. Hopefly can get some grad transfers Horns has not had much luck with JC players recently. Maybe beat out Stanford for Uke seeif new coaches are better than last ten years of coach recruiting.

Next year will give a better idea as new bunch got a late start.
