If one had to guess, who takes the main role in talking these guys down?
Carrington?
Ok, someone explain to me how the F that happened. Where the F had WVU been through this whole thing. Reminds of that WR from Aledo that freaked out and chose UCLA at signing day only to switch to UT later.
It has a bunch to do with the depth chart. Texas isn't the easiest school to get into as a grad transfer either. I think it came down to one or the other.
I can see that. I also just read that the WVU co-DC was his recruiter at ASU and WVU is now running the same defense he has been a part of. So, I guess it does make sense. I just always heard Minn or Texas, Minn or Texas, Minn or Texas.
The link here is WV coach Jahmile Addae. Addae is a former WV safety (recruit class of 2001 I think). Before coaching at WV he was the DB coach at Minnesota for one year (which probably gave the "in" for the Minny attraction), then before that he was the DB coach at Arizona for 5 yrs.
“I have Coach Jahmile Addae there," Fields said earlier this month about WVU. "He recruited me to Arizona. He’s co-defensive coordinator. The defense is almost exactly the same as it was as of UofA also. So, I’ve got an upper hand over there. I already know what’s going on with the defense.”
Once you see it, the dots are not hard to connect... so why are we surprised? Most were saying that Texas, then Minny, then WV were leading for Fields.
Why all the corncern over a missed LB. There is 13 LBS for next season on roster. How many are needed to play two positions?
I am sure other positions have greater need. Just food for thought.
