Bimage hasnt redshirted yet so he could redshirt anyway if he wanted. What's the advantage of opting out? Apparently, opting out due to covid give you another year of eligibility but does that help him or hurt him? If he redshirted, he could participate in practices and play in at least 4 games (maybe more this season); whereas, the way I understand it, if you opt out you have to separate yourself from the team and cant participate in team activities. Is he infected or what?
My concern is more with the 85 scholarships.
If the ncaa doesnt allow for expanded scholly limits or exemptions, then this isnt a positive. I havent read up on any of this but if I were to take a guess and say that the covid opt out would get a type of temp medical exemption for the program. but, again, I have no idea really
