Yeah min wage jobs should do that !
Min wage jobs are for 15-19 year olds to do to learn work ethic
Let’s raise that high and companies will get robots to replace humans
Yuma they raise it to 12
People that run the donut shop said their employees call in once a week sick because with the pay increase they make the same if they work a day less because of taxes
This would work in the middle of the posh regions of London.
We can barely come to a 15 an hour consensus and this guy wants to almost double that out of thin air. He’s trying to out Bernie, Bernie.
the dem party is crashing and burning
i can't wait for that party to completely collapse and become nothing but a thing of the past.
When it comes out that Tommy did not pay his own people near that much.
It's gonna happen regardless. And when that happens we gonna need some type of UBI system. Or get rid of the 40 hour wage slavery that we got going today and make like a 25-30 hour full time with 4 days a week of work. Family time matters tbh..
He ran a hedge fund man, his people did just fine
Still though, this is a stupid idea. It’d be fine as the minimum wage for Manhattan or San Fran, but it would cripple small town businesses.
Still some low level worker somewhere not getting nearly that much maybe.
yeah and we were supposed to be flying cars by now too... it'll be a long while before every job opportunity dries up due to automation.
I honestly think it can already happen at a much greater extent tbh but I think the puppet masters purposely want to keep us busy (enslaved) so people don't wake up and the masses don't revolt against them.
Agreed that it’s not right around the corner like people say it is but it will happen at in the next 25-30 years and when it does there won’t be anywhere near enough 40 hour / week jobs to go around (imo there aren’t enough as is).
i agree about tech. we should've been in flying cars by now even though everyone sucks at driving. those "elites" just don't want it to be. we hear of tech from decades ago that now is reality; it's quite amusing to think how it took decades for such tech (cds, dvds, backup tapes, electric motors, etc...) to get to the general public.
The increasing # of multi hundred-billionaires who are not very exceptional is staggering. I like free markets; but it's a sickening development.
small towns, small town businesses have been dying for 100+ years, even with or without the poverty-level minimum wage.
It's urbanization, it's unstoppable, and true just about everywhere, because cities are where the jobs, money are, but also where the life, culture, civilization, entertainment, opportunities, education, health care are.
That translate to what... like $15 for a Big Mac.
the less BigMac and other (heavily subsidized) junkfood eaten, the healthier the people.
" doubling those salaries would push that Big Mac cost up 80 cents.
For a Dollar menu item like a medium fry, it would go up 20 cents.
That 49-cent cone deal the chain sometimes runs in the summer would be a 59-cent deal."

So you're saying Yuma has a 100% marginal tax rate once you get to $20,000 a year?
damn, this guy is Boutons level stupid.
Yuma currently has an unemployment rate of 16% (),, there’s not one iota of truth to ducks story.
Is there ever?
