At least President Hillary Clinton ain't overseeing it.
She'll never be scared with that.

Trump staked everything on his stock market success and now it's over.

    Trump Taj Mahal:

You seen McMillions on HBO? They were talking about how Trump Taj Mahal had Jerry Colombo, from that Colombo family, as head of security there.

    How is it over?

That kind of mentality is why poor people stay poor. You guys don't seem to know how to seize on opportunity. Just sit around and wring your ing hands all the time.

This has all the indicators of a full blown global recession and not just a "correction". The bull market is done. It's been an amazing ride and I've enjoyed it so much but it's over.

The US Shale industry will go belly up

USA will probably try to bail them out

trouble is they will also have to bail out the banks they bailed out in 08 again

“too big to fail” problem is they are bigger now

the dollar will collapse and oil and other stuff will go back up

Poor people stay poor because they don't have access to credit and capital, you silly man. Also, because it's more expensive to be poor, in a lot of ways.

The best predictor of upward mobility in the US remains inherited wealth.

Zero discussion of paid sick leave, but a bailout of airlines, cruise lines and hotels is already in the works. Same logic as the 2009 stimulus, robust direct aid to corporations, zip for regular citizens.

Maybe the airlines, hotels and cruise lines should have laid something by for a rainy day.

They should just pick up a second job, maybe an Uber route.

Bailing the airlines out would be ridiculous. Any lost revenue from worried travelers is probably getting offset by rock bottom oil prices.

Apparently, no. They buy fuel on hedges, so their current purchases cost more than lowered fuel purchases (but cost less if oil es)

The evidence is that poverty causes poor decision making, not the other way around. FWIW.

    To some extent, yes.

No amount of cheap fuel though, will make a flight of a 737 with 10 passengers profitable.

We have been bailing out airlines for close to half a century by now. The industry as a whole had a negative net income if you look at net income ulatively since inception of airlines, as recently as a few years ago.

ers keep stripping out inches and charging us for bag fees, and toilet fees, and whatever else. I hate flying.

    https://www.statista.com/statistics/...us-from-china/

The number of Chinese visitors to the US at the start of the financial crisis in 2008: 450k

In 2019: 2.84 million, projected to 3.52M in four years.

The impact of China's ban on travel will be felt by a great many people.

That's capitalism, no one has a right to remain open for business. Bad things happen to good companies all the time -- the miracle of creative destruction, amirite?

So no poor people ever make it out of poverty because they don't have access to credit and capital. So poor people stay poor because they are poor.

    Genius

More expensive to be poor must mean it's harder thus more honorable an achievement.

Your bumper sticker logic is tiring.
