one of them missed the season with a shoulder injury
but when's the last time it has? Other than the two best players that you drafted that are no longer with you (by choice)?
2017...Gareon Conley... bust, traded for a low pick to Houston last year
2018... ing Kolton Miller over Derwin James
2019... Josh Jacobs is solid, but, the other 2 guys you drafted are busts, and solid RBs like Jacobs could be found in the mid rounds
2020... pick a red chip receiver with 2 blue chips on the board, and then the 8th best corner in the draft
one of them missed the season with a shoulder injury
yeah I remember that play, week 1 of monday night football. I didn't think Abram was that great though nor will be. Another Karl Joseph type, and they wasted a pick on another guy (Melifonwu) at that position too. They love drafting mediocre, injury prone strong safeties but they took a 2nd round grade o-lineman when arguably the best SS of this generation was on the board in 2018.
saints were smart taking a center, they were definitely worse last year after losing Unger
49ers gonna take... Mims? Even most the red chips are off the board at WR at this point.
what do you want me to saw. i said at the time that i didnt like the ferrell pick, the kolton miller pick. sometimes players dont pan out. i didnt have an issue with the conley pick, but we recovered a 3rd round pick for him. miller played better last year, but yes derwin would have been better. i dont mind abram. joseph was undersized for his style of play, which is why they drafted abram to replace him.
49ers should pull a Ravens and take Love honestly. For the s and giggles.
Aiyuk to the Niners after a trade-up. I like it.
Michael Pittman and Denzel Mims are my 2 top receivers left
Kristian Fulton, Jaylon Johnson, Trevon Diggs, Jeff Gladney are still available. Those are all good corners.
Aiyuk + Deebo with Kittle... thats nasty. up to jimmy G
They've done nothing but squandered elite talent and lost major value in the Gruden era. They basically replaced two 20 dollar bills with like 7 or 8 quarters.
but, they are red chippers. truthfully there were only 2 blue chip talents in the secondary in this year's draft. Just Okudah and Henderson, no safeties. I thought maybe McKinney but he's really fallen imo.
how many blue chippers do you think there are in a given year?
OH
packers moved up... could they be Feeling the Love?
packers moved up... think they grab a receiver. I like Mims/Pittman the most. I'm not crazy about Higgins but he's there as well
all big guys though
49ers strong 1st Round
Draft younger versions of Buckner and Sanders
max 10-12 on average tbh.
This year...
1-3 QBs (not sure imo)
2 WRs (Jeudy and Lamb)
no RBs
no TEs
4 OTs
no G/Cs
1 Edge (Young)
2 IDL
1 ILB (Simmons)
2 CB
0 S
0 K/P/LS
CALLED IT!!!
So when Cousins expires next year, does he get the tag, and then leaves and is replaced in Minnesota by ......one Aaron Rodgers?
arite man, and there's 32 picks in the first round ... you're crying that there arent blue chippers past 20
Nah, I'm just 'splainin. I'm actually pretty stoked that my team got a blue chip player at 17, even if it wasn't really a position of need.
seahawks with a stinker pick. they should have traded back like they always do
ravens up next. think they should get a big outside receiver for lamar to compliment hollywood down the field and andrews at TE. go for pittman/mims/higgins
Maybe there's an eventual wagner/wright replacement. Good player.
