I'm selling the idea that the players are mad at rudy. First there are thousands of boomers doing the same thing. Second, gobert isn't any dumber than kyrie or Gilbert arenas. It's unprecedented that a player cancel's a season, but he's not the reason soccer and mlb are killing their seasons.
Malice in the palace was way worse in that it bespoiled the league's image and forced Indiana into a rebuild. The Jazz will be fine. It's not like a player ed a former player's wife or anything.
He about to file bankruptcy to prevent lawsuits from ending his bank account
Not a chance he can get sued over that; the NBA would be sued first if it ever happened tbh. Could see his teammates suing him potentially, however.
Why not? The NBA didn't make him do that dumb at the podium. We all saw it.
Teammates who he exposed can sue, but not the fans he exposed?
He gave that kid an autograph before he knew he was sick (also wasn't symptomatic). The mic thing he could definitely be sued over though.
True, but I refuse to believe he knew he was sick and still messed around with his teammates (as has been reported).
What would the cause of action be for him touching the microphone?
Not sure honestly. He didn't break any laws afaik. Needless endangerment?
Yeah that’s the thing - what he did was reckless but I don’t think there’s any way he could get sued. Only thing I could think of would be negligence but that would only work for stuff he did AFTER being diagnosed.
We could say we do every day is reckless in hindsight if we find out we have the virus.
Poor optics, that's all. There's no real issue. Might as well say Tom Hanks put more people in danger by being on a movie set.
Gobert strikes again. Wood from the pistons infected after guarding him a few nights ago
Gobert probably killed the kids grandparents
bend over Ill show you optics
Why, you going to stare at my asshole?
gross negligence:
Gross negligence is a conscious and voluntary disregard of the need to use reasonable care, which is likely to cause foreseeable grave injury or harm to persons, property, or both. It is conduct that is extreme when compared with ordinary Negligence, which is a mere failure to exercise reasonable care.
Tom Hanks didn't know he was sick
And this is going to keep happening. Anyone who thinks this season isn't over is nuts. Sorry Lakers, Bucks, and Clippers fans for having a potential championship season snatched away but it's gone.
Hopefully Durant is one of the four players that got it.
Durant seems like a weak with a weak immune system. Hopefully he doesn't die from it.
