Well that's all that counts, isn't it? If it doesn't affect you or come from you it isn't real, right?

As far as I can tell, people are pretty much going about their normal lives, except wearing masks in indoor public spaces. What else would you have them do?

Beisdes not congregating in confined, poorly ventilated indoor spaces during a deadly, uncontrolled respiratory pandemic, I'd have them at least wear a ing mask.

    But I ain't in charge.

BigCorp corruption in action in hole Texas

As COVID ed in Texas, lawmakers escaped to Maui for a corporate-backed confab on the economy

The Independent Voter Project has paid for Texas legislators to attend its annual conference in Maui for a decade.

But no one reported these freebies for years.

Hosted by the Independent Voter Project, a San Diego-based nonprofit,

this year’s conference reportedly brought together at least 50 people, including about 20 state legislators from California and Texas,

to discuss ways to restart the economy during the pandemic.

how about AFTER the Repug-prolonged pandemic?

Ethics watchdogs have long criticized the four-day confab as an

industry-backed tropical getaway masquerading as a policy conference.

Must suck for him being stuck in a basement, dreaming of travel and places he will never visit.

I bet he is suffering from same derp mental issues triggered by covid and election.

Albuquerque related (one hospital) from a few months back: special screening protocols for patients who "look native." Some mothers with pending tests were separated from their newborns, even though they had not symptoms, and no known direct contact with infected people.

Non-Native American patients were not subjected to the same screening/protocol.

At Lovelace, only women who appear to be Native American were singled out for the additional examination, even if they showed no symptoms and had not been in contact with a person who has tested positive for the illness, clinicians said.

“This isn’t about where you live or if you live in a hot spot — it’s about whether someone thinks you look Native,” a clinician explained. “The only people for whom we’ve been told to check ZIP codes are patients who appear to be Native.”

We probably have enough already but testing capacity for the summer but capacity continues to increase daily. The number of people that need to be tested will fall off a cliff in a couple of weeks.

This Chinese virus does not seem to do well in the presence of the freedom and liberty that Texans enjoy.

There's always misinformation spread on the internet. I don't think it plays a major role. Imo the underlying reason is the arrogance of experts at CDC, NIH, etc believing and telling the public that this could be stopped followed by politicians taking action to "stop" the virus. Should have been straight with the public that this is a long slog from the get go and enacted sustainable strategies.
