people not wearing face masks is increasing everywhere.

Widespread facemask use could shrink the 'R'
number and prevent a second COVID-19 wave

For emphasis, we're talking about available hospital beds. Not total number of hospital beds.

In addition to the available beds TX also tests elective surgery patients. They get coded as a new case and a hospitalization.

Texas tested a record 45,233 on Thursday. 1826 positive.
"The infection rate, a measure of positive cases against the number of tests conducted, has been on an upward trend since mid-May and was at 11.9% on Tuesday. The seven-day average was lower, at 6.9%. Public health experts and the governor have said 6% or less is a goal or, as Abbott put it, an “encouraging sign.” The governor, who calls this number the “positivity rate,” has also said anything over 10% is a “red flag.” Testing in Texas is still inconsistent, with people outside of the big cities reporting delays and planning snafus....."

Yes it is. And blake is absolutely incorrect. Testing positivity for a 7 day rate has not been at 11 since 4.16 and van be identified through limited testing and hotspot testing. It's been hovering around 6 percent since 4/25 and will increase somewhat as antibody tests increase.

Per texas positivity rate on the dashboard is txdshs.

    Hmm
their mortality rate calculations are hilarious. they are dividing covid deaths by total population. that would assume the entire population is infected
